Mera's weak condition as a child was caused by her epithet, which everyone at that time thought was just an illness If she did use the amulet to remove it, her body would still be cracked & broken from her epithet's effect. Yes, her body wouldn't break more, but it would take a long time for her to heal up unless she is already too broken to heal fully Also yes you're right Mera and Indus's girth- I mean the fog, it does heal everyone standing in it :) Looking forward to you seeing Zora ^_^

@@NevaehEvol Simple. She spend her entire life training her epithet. She doesn't have friends (exept for Indus) and seemingly lives on money left to her by her parents. Epithet that hurts her is the only thing she values. So she wants to steal complementary epithet insted. Selfish but understandable.

And it's shown that Mera worked to learn things about her Epithet, so she probably feels some entitlement to not losing the benefits she does get from the Epithet

For Lady Mira, if my theory is correct (from Trixie's attempt in the book), once she discovered the word "Fragile", it resonated within her soul, and became her epiphet Since Mira doesn't say anything else about a disease, but "the stronger my epiphet grow, the weaker i get" and 10 years training... I think i can see why she is so fragile x)

Fun fact about Percy: in the original camping that inspired this show, Percy was male but in the show is female. Because this, it's fairly spread fan cannon that Percy is fully transitioned. This not yet been proven nor denied by Brendan Blaber. I don't say anything more about her for now because spoiler but, even if she's not my favorite character, i love the interaction she makes.

Once you're done with episode 7, I really wanna see you react to some of the extra stuff that jelloapocalypse/some fans have done before checking out prison of plastic! Some of the notable ones are all of the full versions of the opening/ending themes, the Prison of plastic theme 'Just say no', the brooklyn 99 I want it that way parody voiced by the official VAs of every character, and the 'That beautiful sound' cover sung by Molly and Giovanni that has a few custom lyrics to fit the characters better!

21:20 It's entirely her epithet that makes her so fragile. An epithet encompasses EVERY possible meaning and interpretation of the word. So Mera's 'Fragile' not only made her physically fragile to injury, but also illness. Not to mention it makes her emotionally and mentally fragile when she gets worked up. Supposedly, a person with an undiscovered epithet will still suffer any possible negative effects of the epithet, even if they don't know it. There's a fan theory that Car Crash has an epithet of something obscure like 'cattywampus', which means that things go in the wrong direction, hence why he always crashes, but because it's so unlikely that he'll ever come across that word, he can't intentionally use it, only suffer the side effects.

Percy is also likely autistic. Brendon intentionally left some things ambiguous, however Percy's hyperfixations (like identifying an obscure dinosaur by sight), her lack of social awareness, and her deadpan delivery of speaking are all qualties of being on the spectrum. I'm also on the spectrum, and I think Percy is great. I feel like Jello knows how to write jokes about groups like this in ways that don't feel "mean". I think you'll also love the Two-loween Special.

It's been great seeing you react to the episodes Neva, but now that your done with the first arc, some thing I wanted to let you know about: 1. The TTRPG they played in the world of Epithet Erased isn't D&D but a homebrew RPG named creatively named "Anime Campaign", its a very simple TTRPG system where most rolls are done with a D20 and the only stats are Stamina (Health & Mana), Proficiency (XP & Ability power), and Movement (Its your movement). 2. The Museum arc wasn't actually played, instead it replaces a tournament episode that Jello was dissatisfied with and didn't have much bearing on the overall story. 3. Jello has the recorded versions of the anime campaign sessions for the next two arcs on his youtube channel, but be warned they are very long and done when they were all much younger. Also Epithet Erased is loosely based on their events (as they had different characters with most every session). 4. Once you are done with Epithet Erased, there is ONE more thing I reccomend you check out, which is the "Prison of Plastic" audio-book. It's by far the best Epithet Erased story thus far, imo.

From my experience, the voices of other trans people are very soothing for me, especially people who fall under the non-binary umbrella somewhere (pretty sure gender queer goes under that umbrella) My neurospicy butt cannot stand those cookies lmao. @@codebracker It’s most likely a spoiler, but the person who shot her parents has an epithet, a pretty broken one at that. I don’t know when they’ll come up as jello is probably going to handle them very differently than how they were handled in the original campaign this is based off.

Percy is one of my favorite characters. My other favorites are Giovanni, Indus, the ratman and the cowgirl (The latter two appears in the next episode). So I can't wait when you start watching the next three episodes for the Western Arc.

There are actually a lot of LGBT characters in EE besides Crusher. From these 4 episodes, Giovanni is Bi, Percy and Molly are Ace (well, Percy is. Jello just guessed Molly was Ace cause he couldn't see her in a relationship), Percy can be interpretted as Trans or Non-Binary. Molly friends (Pheonica and Trixie) are respectively Bi and Non-Binary as well as Pan (Trixie uses she/her, they/them pronouns). And there are still several lgbt characters we haven't met yet. Also, on the deal with the electric girl... all I'm saying is that her electricity powers are implied to not directly be epithet related. Key word 'implied' Also, get ready to simp next episode
