3 ай бұрынCommon issue on Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-AMG vehicles, the one way valve that controls vacuum to move the wastegate(s)
Often this valve causes low boost, or irregular/lazy boost, wastegate shudder, and low power
The one way checkvalve works with the oil separator/vacuum pump at the back of the engine to provide clean dry vacuum in order to control the wastegates. This video shows the valve in action, and what it looks like when it fails.
This applies to all Mercedes turbo vehicles, as the turbo(s) wastegate(s) is controlled the same way on all models.

My car has a strange hesitation when under boost and seemed a little sluggish- sure enough, the valve was bad. I noticed that you don't have a link or part number listed for the Volvo version of the valve.

What is the volvo part are you talking about? I know the vacuum pump OEM is made by Vaico but Vaico does not sell just that part and the only part I can find is the ford part for this car.

My check valve failed and sadly the orange piece got sucked in somehow. Is that something to worry about? This is my 6th check valve already. I'm planning to put something else this time. I'll use the broken check valve as a connection to another "better" external check valve.

no, the rubber diaphragm is recovered in less than 10% of time. its almost always shredded in the pump behind; nothing to worry about. Make sure to use a Valeo valve, it will last you 40-60K miles, and 3-5 years. Aftermarket ones sold for 10 bucks last for 10 minutes
