Hi, Victor I need your help, I have a 1994 S500 "C140" Japanese spec and I had issues "asr" light and "limp mode" has well, somebody has fixed the wires on the throttle body but the car still have the same problem. Do you think the car should have other issues? Regards From England Victor Almeida

+1. .. Great 90's era MB throttle body wiring harness/loom defect discovery. .. The VDO manufactured throttle bodies wire/harness type must be difficult to replicate, no?

Did throttle body relearn and it fixed problem. 1. Turn key to run, do not start. 2. Push and hold gas pedal to floor 3. Turn key off 4. Release gas pedal 5. Remove key, then re insert and start.

Greetings Victor, i have 1997 s420 and my car looks like it went into limp-mode. I have no response when i push the gas pedal and the rpm needle does not move. I did remove the air filter cleaner housing and found that the throttle body mass air flow sensor housing was at an angle, so i mounted the mass air flow housing back to its correct position and started the car, it started up and the rpm tac was working again but after a few seconds the rpm tac stoped working and had to throttle response again. The car has been sitting for a year or so and i just recently put it back on the road. It ran good but this is the only problem I've had so far with the car. Is there a relearn option for the transmission or a relearn option for the throttle body? Can you help??

I have a 2003 Mercedes s55 amg and I had a throttle body code (p0120 throttle valve actuator: deflection throttle valve) idle was steady but seemed weird when pushing on the gas but also had a cylinder 3 and 4 misfire. My vehicle went into limp mode when I drove a few feet and cut off all acceleration with backfiring. I could not get it to drive and my breaks got very hard to where I couldn’t push them.

I have a 2000 mercedes 230 my accelerator pedal doesn't respond at all one day (intermittently) sometimes it works fine. Ideals smooth runs great when the pedal does work. But the next day it won't accelerator at all. I've replaced the accelerator pedal sensor and throttle body to no avail. Someone help me

I have a 93 500 sel that will start right up in the morning and after approximately 15 minutes of driving, it will begin to sputter. It ends up dying and will not start for about 20-40 minutes. When i crank, it will pop and backfire. It has good fuel pressure with no spark. To get it started, I HAVE to feather the throttle while cranking and eventually it will start. Almost like its flooded. New plugs and wires. New fuel regulator. 300k miles. Been a mechanic for 17 years but I've never messed with a mercedes and I'm a bit lost.
