Because time is money. Spending a week fixing something for $300 when you can have someone replace it for $500 in a 2 hours. You figure out which one makes the mlst of sense for you.

Yeah.... if you can compress that shock absorber with your bare hands it will be working perfectly on a 2.5ton car..... and one more thing, if you don't have enough money to properly maintain an S-Klass don't buy one on the first place!

Why shouldn’t he be able to compress that shock ? You can do it on all sorts of cars. Plus S class or not you have to be stupid to pay for authorized workshops service.

It's only the shock absorber, not the spring. You can do it on every car.

@@lolekradziejewski4205basically if it meant to be repairable he should have replacement parts like all seals and teflon spacers. Plus this car has a flexible dynamic system which will match stiffness of steering and suspension based on driver demand or speed, it means quality and quantity of the hydraulic oil is the key, also dampening of that shock is controlling and adjusting by that little motor Oh by the way I've been in the European mechanical repairs industry for 20+ years and shut down my business last month, as I was tired of dealing with customers like you I gave up teaching you guys that you must not treat a race horse the way you treat a farm horse It Is A Fact
