Mercedes C43 AMG (Pt.2): Supercar Status - Almost! [Test Drive] | YS Khong Driving

5 жыл бұрынOne of our viewers wanted to see what we could do with his 2018 Mercedes-Benz C43. The car has slightly wider tyres, and is 'chipped' for a bit more power and torque. The road was wet, but AWD makes it easy as ABC (Always Be Careful), allowing us to carry a higher speed through the corners. This car has a high Smile Ratio, to be sure. it's raining and the road is quite slippery ... YS stepping the pedal and dropping a gear ... This made my day ... i'm back to watching and keeping my fake AMG in the car porch ... the best uphill drive i've seen in the whole bunch ... maybe.. because of lesser traffic and .. it's raining slippery road ... makes everyone here clinching our teeth and going to yell it out any second ...

@@YSKhongDriving Mr kong, what will you recommend c43 vs m4? If a person intend to get a car for daily drive , wants some fun , reliability and for long term.

The M4 has a bit more power: both cars would be great to drive. The difference is the C43 has AWD, which makes it the better car for an average driver. And the C43 is a whole lot more affordable, like RM300k cheaper. The M4 is more eye-catching though.

Since its wet, the traction control will help even if you full throttle right? I notice you still manually gradual apply throttle. Still not 100% full proof?. As much as i love full lock steering action, most of the time i just want confidence inspire driving in the rain. reach home and sleep.

I don't like to rely so much on driving aids. Yes, the traction control will help, but it is still judicious and good practice to apply throttle gradually. And I agree, it's not about tail-snapping type of Driving Ng but about going through fast and smooth. All that sideways is for show and in racing it actually slows the car down.

I will give a Beemer E92 M3, 911 or even a Volvo T5-R (used to have one before non R guise). Too bad I don’t have any of them - will gladly give it to Uncle to do the hill climb.

Actually I still can't really comprehend how a C43 AMG has got less power than the older face lift A45 AMG with 381hp hahaha... Anyway, all AMGs are great cars...
