This specific V12 has a low tone that can be mistaken as a V8 by untrained ears. The engine's growl somehow sounds a bit like the pagani huayra.

Man I have an '03 CL 600 same color--this car seems to have free flow exhaust as it sounds meaner than my stock exhaust--I did the Renntech tune --Kudos to you brother--your car sounds nice--Get that Renntech TCU/ECU upgrade--Before my upgrade, my car was pushing 520 HP stock and now it's sitting at 642 horses --I got the total upgrade for less than 2k at xmas special price-all I can say is WOW!!

Except the engine here is a generic mass production Mercedes engine. It's not a real AMG engine. The badge on this car was put on by the owner. He may have the AMG visual package (wheels, front bumper etc etc) But not AMG engine. Those are hand built by AMG and very different from the mass production engines. The one v12 AMG CL is the 65, which is a 6.0l bi turbo. Then the only other AMG CL is the CL55 (I've got one of those) They are the 5.5L V8 Kompressor (supercharged). All are great cars!

This is the base engine of the 65 amg, just a bit bigger drilled and more turbo boost, so minir things

Der Sound ist echt saftisch! Sehr, sehr geil!. Ich habe auch einen 600er, wo ich gerne etwas am Sound machen möchte. (ZZ Original Abgasanlage). Könntest du mir sagen, was du alles angestellt hast? bitte detailreiche Informationen. Danke. ,-)

Forcedinducti0n 2003 cl55amg has less torque at 516lbs an reaches peek horsepower at 6000rpm the cl600 has 590 ft lbs of torque an reaches its peek horsepower from at a much lower rpm get ur facts rite

@forcedinduction youre wrong buddy the 2003+cl600 has more power an will beat the 2003+cl55 amg you mustve read the wrong blueprint buddy the cl600 has 534 horses at the crank the cl55 has 495 mercedes on paper has both the cl55 an the cl600 at 495 horses for sale purposes to promote an sell the cl55 amg otherwise the 600 wouldve outsold the cl55 ....anyhow i beat many cl55 amgs ...head to head off the line then after 1st into 2nd gear im leaving them so sorry buddy ...FACTS

ironworkerwella1 not necessarily; understand that the 55 is an AMG tuned car while the 600 is not. The 2001 CL55 AMG is only 10hp behind the 2001 CL600 and has the same 0-60. The 2003+ CL55 AMG is supercharged putting down close to 500bhp, correct me if i am mistaken, but i believe that is substantially more power than the NA CL600 which clocks in around 360bhp, and comparable to the 2003+ turbo charged variant (non AMG version) which puts down right around 500bhp as well. Now its a completely different story when comparing the CL55 vs the CL65 whiiich would be the "biturbo" V12 AMG version of this car (C215) putting down somewhere close to 600bhp. Nonetheless the CL55 is no car to be underestimated. To further the facts, the 0-60 of the 2003+ CL55 clearly out runs the NA CL600 and pull ahead by over 1.2 Seconds and actually beats the turbo charged V12 CL600 by 0.1 seconds as well. So really the 2003+ CL55 AMG > All CL600s. Unless of course you're just comparing engine size and sounds... but then again, who doesnt love the sound of a 5.4L supercharged V8? Bigger aint always better ;) #Facts

+xxdriftking027xx I don't know about that dude. TUNED 03+ CL600's are usually well over 600hp and tend to compete with and beat Lambo's and higher end cars, so I don't think CL55's would really be a problem either.

Well when you start modifying things, it changes the story completely. All previous facts go out the window, buut comparing the cars factory spec, the way they were designed, I believe this is the way Mercedes intended their cars to hold up (on paper anyway).

Crank Turner no your talking about thr cl65s with the bi turbo v12 engine. Those are monsters. The cl600s not so much.
