There's just this tiny design thing that I think is wrong with the CLS and that is that the very tip of the rear is significantly lower than the windshield base / bonnet line and that just makes the bottom look really droopy

This clip seems to use the wrong video level. You can see this clearly at 0:44 when she shows the boot, there's a grey void and all the black details are gone, and the whole video looks very "faded" as well. Most likely during the editing or the export, something went wrong here.

me and mum love this car we’ve had it for 3 months and it’s amazing yes it has a sloping headroom but it’s fine.

Looks great! I think this generation has more character than the last one did. The original was great. Iconic, almost. Then, Merc went into a phase of 'pleasing the market' and diluted the CLS style into a more pedestrian series of lines and shapes. This one looks to have the CLS character back.

no, its just that the merc is like a black coffin inside..... That interior seriously needs some brighter colours. You can probably pick brighter colours to be fair.

The microphone you are using when the background voice is playing is annoyingly poor and I had not seen a video in a while and I remember why, you keep using these hideous filters on the videos... this is not instagram, with this poor editing you cannot see all the details of the car and everything looks dim. And regarding the car, the back is incredibly ugly, the W218 looks so good imo. They really have gone a long way in ruining the car. The new CLS should have been the GT 4 door.

no, they have been using plastic in place of leather. Mercedes call it Faux leather.

There won't be a true AMG 63 model because CLS53 will be the top range model (53 engine is a V6, not V8 like 63). The true AMG V8 engine will be reserved for AMG GT 4-door.

This review misses so much content. I have no idea what it costs, what it really comes with as standard, what add ons would be worthwhile nor how the infotainment system compares to its competition. All I can take from this review is, “This is what the car looks like and these are the engine types.”

Claire Kennedy because of the roof at the back it's called coupe.There are a lot of suv's called coupes like the gle or glc coupe.or even the x4 or x6 from bmw

I’m somehow disappointed by what Mercedes did with the new CLS ... Interior almost is the same as the one in the E-Class ... and where has the the centre console in the back known from the two previous generations gone? Add to that that the car doesn’t look desirable or elegant ... it’s a miss for me.

Strabunitz Coupe means 'cut' and means a cut-down version of the car on which it's based. It has never meant eclusively that the resulting car must have only two doors. It's become shorthand for two doors because, for a time, shirtening the wheelbase was the most common way to 'cut' a car. The other way to 'cut' a car is to lower the roof. This second method has been revived of late, which is why we've started seeing four-door coupes again.

German car makers have been doing four door coupes for a while now, since at least 2013. A four door car is called a coupe if the window does not have a pillar

Oh my god who graded this, there are no blacks at all, just horrible muddy greys like a 2012 Instagram filter. Horrible sound recording and mixing too. Step it up
