Fault list...
129700 the diesel particulate filter is defective
13AF00 the soot content of the particulate filter is too high
118A00 plausibility error due to defective exhaust gas pressure line between the diesel particulate filter and the differential pressure sensor ( B28/8 DPF Pressure Sensor)
11DA00 the lower limit of the component B28/8 DPF pressure sensor has not been reached
118D00 DPF Differential pressure sensor plausibility error
diagnostic tests. DPF cleaning and sensor replacement.

I tell all my customers not to let their engines sit ticking over as that adds significantly to their soot content, I bought the launch x431 pro5 pad and the kinbolen k7 a digital pressure gauge and a launch gun and I do around three Dpf jobs a week , the customers are happy and word is spreading and all of this is because of the knowledge you share , thank you jim you are sir a living legend ❤

Jimmy, I know you've said this before but I think worth repeating, these DPF's block for a reason and that should be the first focus of the mechanics attention. My own take is everything happens for a reason, even if often you don't know what the reason is. There's no such thing as 'it's just Radom and it's one of those things'. Another very informative video, thank you.

Great videos and honesty as always Jimmy Thankyou , It would be great if Launch can release a cheaper tool as the eurotab 3 I can’t afford , so be good to see this new release you mentioned , just isn’t going to be in my price range a £800 tool maybe more affordable - has launch thought of perhaps renting out these tools so more good mechanics like yourself and me as a mobile mechanic of 16 years can reset the cars after the other checks and cleans have been carried out , catch twenty -two for me , would like the work and can do the work but can’t afford £6000 for this tool .. thanks again .

Ah yes thanks Jimmy again another Great Video Iv a slightly older version of this OM642 Engine in my 2008 Mercedes ML320 by god I’d never part with it even in its worst days! Thanks fully I don’t have a DPF In it. Again can’t wait to see the new Cheaper Version of that Launch UK Product when it’s released….a question how do you find the Top Don Products?? did one of these a while back it was that blocked ran for a sec then cut out on the head left hand side near dps sensor has a small oil seperator on the rear if the head 2 bolts and it comes off it has a fiber seal that goes on them causes high oil consumption and blocks dpfs quickly

Brilliant video as always. I have a boxer, DPF blocks within 300miles, when cleaned pressure is at 3 mbar. Van runs nice, I have never seen you diagnose injector fault or air sensor. I assume these could be my issue. Do you have a video where you have found the fault with dpf blocking due to either of these faults? Good to here you more positive than the end of last year.. keep smiling, I know its tough paddling your own canoe

He has a video on a boxer we're the pattern drivers side mirror caused the dpf to block because of a faulty outside Air temperature sensor in the cheap mirror 😳🤯 maybe worth a check

Hi John, no not that, I have a temp sensor and apart from that it doesn't affect euro5, on top of which blocking within 300 miles .. a bit of town driving for a few days would be unlikely to regen anyway @@johncoldwell340

@johncoldwell340 no turbo not leaking oil, I'm not burning through any oil . Van runs lovely no issues now I've drilled 3 10mm holed through spare dpf. But need a solution

Where are you located in UK? I have similar problems with my car, in a 1st place was a limp mode, changed dpf sensor, for 2 weeks was all good, today i have again engine light, checked with my carly adapter, now i got a message with 14CF00 The positive control deviation of exhaust gas recirculation control is too high.

Amazon tools are based on Asian vehicles so have issues with some functions on European cars. Amazon tools just come from a warehouse where as Launch UK have a team for UK support and distribution so prices are going to be higher. The quality of the tool is also noticeably better

Hi, i have an 01432 (Electrical Fault In Circuit) Fault on a VW Scirocco. I did have a 01423 (implausible signal) Lateral Acceleration Sensor in addition, but i have replaced the faulty sensor. I'm not sure how to tace the electrical fault as im a weekend warrior with limited experience. Is it something you can help with? Happy to drive to you.

Topdon are just copies of Launch. They buy there software from Launch and no UK support as far as I'm aware only grey imports from China. Topdon is a pointless brand to me as I already have Launch. I would test them if I were given them but would not buy one

For actual replacement rather than just cleaning, you should check how much ash is in the DPF, as opposed to soot. The former can't be cleaned.

You don't need to use a launch Tech UK gun to use the cleaner a rust Proofing gun will work just fine under half the price

So myne Diesel particulate filter diffrential pressure is -10hPa now at 581.51/min RPM, when i turn off the engine is at -8.. what kind of a problem that can be then maybe you can help me a bit

Launch UK would be connected to Launch Europe I'd say. But as with all diagnostic machines I can think of apart from snap on, the software is all made in China

⁠@@markmagee2382 Launch uk don’t sell kinbolen and anything on eBay or amazon I’ve asked them.. anything not bought from launch uk directly won’t carry any tech help from launch uk .. There all made in China but I’m sure there’s lots of differences internally and externally on a genuine uk version.
