The very first non-Audi to be featured on my channel is officially my buddy's Mercedes Benz E63S!!! I've always loved the power these cars seem to make so effortlessly and today we found out exactly how much power that was. We knew that Mercedes underrates their AMG cars from the factory, but now we know exactly how much. Once we had a stock power reading we tuned the car with Eurocharged Houston's Stage 1 tune and made some insane power for a vehicle with all stock hardware except for an ECU tune. Extremely impressive!!!

Nice to see some different content. Congrats on the awesome numbers with the Merc man Charles. I bought the unitronic 980cc injectors for his rs3 after he sold the car which will be put to good use in the near future.

I have a little experience in both cars and as much as the E series is much heavier and much larger it absolutely destroys the old C series in terms of performance.

Great vid. Did renntech tune. Stock was believe it or not high 600s. 750 w simple ecu tune. Whether ppl like it or not renntech has three dynos at location. Very linear pull. Safe upgrade Even better gas mileage when drive like old fart due to cylinder activation 2019 e63s. Bought new. Currently 15k miles. Only drive for long trips. Thx again for vid

What’s the big difference between this and the GT63s? My dad has the GT63s and it’s insanely quick.

I'm honestly not terribly familiar with Merc's. I'm fairly certain though that the motors are the same and just have different tunes. Both twin turbo 4.0L V8's

Very similar cars stock. I believe the gt63s has 27hp more but also weighs 200lbs more. Cant go wrong!

GT63 AMG is a better handling car a on a track compared to E63. Also GT63 is more expensive.

Does the car automatically adjust for the little bit of e85 or does it need to be tuned for it ?

Automatically adjusts. The E content needs to be low though. I will blow sh$t up if you run like E50 without tuning for it.

@G I'd recommend using an ethanol content analyzer in your car if you plan on blending E. If you refuse to do that, then at least there are ethanol calculator apps you can download on your phone. I recommend no more than E15 for your first test. Log the car and see how your fuel system does. If you have more head room, then E20 at max, and I'm sure your car will be making more jam.

Great vid. I currently have a '14 F10 M5 and definitely interested in a '18+ E63. Or i could stay in M5 family as the new M5's with just a tune are running like 10.3 in a 1/4 mile

It’s not 683 to the wheel it’s 683 to the crank. No way a stage 1 tune makes 785 to the crank. I have the same engine in my AMG stage 1 is putting down 615 to the crank 530 wheel.

Where did you randomly come up with 785 to the crank? Haha. We use roughly a 10% drivetrain loss on this dyno because Dynojets read high in our opinion. Roughly 730hp at the crank. You are looking at the torque figures, not the whp numbers. You do also realize that every single dyno reads differently and will show different results depending on your fuel used, the ambient temperature, the density altitude, the tune you were using, the airflow over the motor, the brand of the dyno and on and on and on, right?

Great content Adam! I like the new montage music for the channel too! This past week, Auto Glory (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/o5yWgbWCr9GnfKs.html) had a street race with an E63S and RS3 with full bolt ons. I was impressed with how the E63 performed. The interior of the E63s is amazing.

This is 100% not wheel HP as my stock figures were 619bhp and around 490whp and I was running 11.13 quarter mile so u are saying the BHP figure not wheel, my stage 1 took me to around 720bhp and 548whp

It 100% is wheel HP, lol. You do realize that every dyno reads differently right? A week later he was running 10.8's in this thing. Forget what stupid dyno's say and do the math on the amount of power it takes to haul a 4500lb piece of metal down the drag strip and accomplish a 10.8 in the 1/4 mile. Just because your dyno reads weren't the same as his, doesn't make mean the dyno was reading horsepower at the crank. Have you also considered the fact that he was running a higher blend of ethanol where as you were probably running straight pump gas? I'm assuming that of course because most people don't blend their fuel.

50whp is very low in comparison on what we gain here in Australia We gain about 130whp

Check out international auto haus on Facebook - merc experts E63s normally dyno stock at ~500hp and stage 2 goes to ~620hp at the wheels.

As I've explained roughly 39,627 times in these comments each dyno reads differently. Each dyno is located in a different environment with different ambient temps, different density altitudes, different quality fuels, different dyno configurations, different dyno brands and so on and so forth. The important thing I am trying to convey is what was gained from the tune. Not what the actual peak power was as this number will vary form dyno to dyno.

Yea 100% every dyno reads different it’s the difference from the mods made. It’s just u go on and on about it being so powerful stock and underrated when it’s just a higher reading dyno. If these had 610whp stock they’d be much faster in stock form.

@@Famous_Flavours I've repeatedly proven that it isn't a higher reading dyno at higher power levels in previous videos. At lower levels, absolutely it reads too high. Up top, not at all. It matches up perfectly with many other Dynojets in similar conditions in the States. I've actually went as far as showing the dyno results of a similarly built TTRS as my RS3 on a Dynojet in the States using the same tune and making within 5whp of eachother when measured in fairly similar conditions. You aren't taking into account things like the fact that dyno you referenced is located in Australia which is always going to be hotter and have a much higher DA than we do here in Vancouver, Canada. On this particular dyno day it was -1500DA which helped the car make crazy power. You're never going to see that in Australia. Not only that, the brand of dyno they use in that shop doesn't read as high as Dynojets do. Dynojets are one of the highest reading dyno brands in my experience. That and Dynocoms.
