How to fix front left malfunction on your Mercedes. SRS/Airbag malfunction fix. This is a common issue with Mercedes vehicles, often caused by spillages or certain cleaning products on the seats. Quick video to show how to replace the seat recognition pad.
Shown on a w204 but goes for all the Mercedes range. Hope it helps some out :-)

That's a great video I was working on a Benz 2018 s560 wiv code error B1F7D54 and saying front left malfunction consult workshop on the dash any idea please? Do you think it's the same issue ?

Hi, no I don’t think it will be the same on yours, has your vehicle had any recent work carried out on the seat? Could be a basic setting required..

@@dashtyATG sometimes the seat will need re-learning, this is done through a star machine or suitable diagnostic tool. Might be worth a try first buddy

Hi. Have a question. My w164 is LH drive and I got that message also on front left seat which is driver seat. Do I have same electrical strip as you replaced? Thanx for reply!

Hi, no you won’t have the seat recognition pad on yours if it’s the drivers seat. Will need to be plugged in to see what fault code you have 👍

Hello mine is a B class 200 CDI 2007 model it’s showing the below. Please help 9007 The component or the signal line to the component S68/1 (seat belt buckle and seat belt warning switch, driver ) has short circuit to positive or Open circuit

I have a similar fault on the same year and model but its the drivers seat but we have noticed it don't beep when driving without seat belt connected, am I right thinking it's the buckle.at fault

Yes, that would normally indicate the buckle at fault 👍

Damn it! I just disconnected yellow and black plugs underneath the drivers seat and after plug it on again, I got this red light light on panel 🤦🏻‍♂️

Got me one of the emulator things for now and trying to fit it in. At 3:16 you used a screw driver and hammer to remove the wire from the yellow block? Is that the only way ? Been fiddlin with mine for hours and thing is jammed in
