What am I talking about?
My topic is the KE-Jetronic injection system which I try to demystify as much as I can.
For all of you to understand the system in brief - Developed in 1973 and being mounted into cars up to 1993 as it went in history. But why these to letters!?(KE) K(from German "kontinuierliche Einspritzung" meaning continuos injection, without interruption) the MECHANICAL injection system on which the fuel starts flowing from the fuel tank sucked by the FUEL PUMP and delivered to the FUEL DISTRIBUTOR which sends fuel to the INJECTORS while the majority of it flows through the FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR through its return line back to the fuel tank again. The letter E(elektronische Gemischanpassung/electronically controlled mixture adaptation) has to mark the electronic sensors (the developement starting from early eighties) which had to inform the ECU about the current state of the engine so that the ECU(Electronic Control Unit) then could create current signal in mA(miliampers) and send it to four crucial components for the system - the EHA(the electro-hydraulic actuator, a unit consisting of a magnet, an electromagnet and a baffle plate) which had to fine tune the engine in each of its phases, the ICV(the idle control valve), the unit which was predicted for the engines perfect idle, the X11(the diagnostic socket) where the duty cycle(the ideal mixture) was adjusted and the X11/4(the code reader) - the socket which from any codes were read if present using an OBD1 scanner.
An extraordinary injection system which could be fully repaired in your own garage using a multimeter and a pressure gauge only for its fine tuning, together with some common tools.

Hi, In case of a 3.0 liter engine is 500ml per cylinder/ minute on full load position? Why? Wasn’t it 100ml ( according to manual) but the correct is 170ml as I saw from one of your previous videos ? I dont understand 😅

Hi, I understand. Concerning the M104 engine 220 is normal, because M104 engine has a double slotted barrel in the fuel distributor and that's why it's normal for M104 to give higher more fuel on full load than M103 engine.😉😉😉😉

⁠@@mercedeskethanks, I don’t have this m104 w124 anymore now I have a w126 260se m103 that I will need to rebuild the fuel distributor as the car was not started for 5 years and the fuel quality in my country is horrible (27 to 30% of ethanol 😅), is it also 170ml per cylinder/full load or a little less? As for your w124 2.3 liter engine the quantity on full load is how much ? Just to compare. I assume yours is 160ml ?

Pozdrav legendo moja, dal je normalno da 1.8 motor s KE jetronicom kod mene Audi 66kw, trosi 9-10litara kombinovane voznje, jel ima to kakve veze s podesavanjem zazora na svjecicama ili nesto drugo da se podesi a da nije vezano za "K glavu". Inace ja sam povecao na 1100 obrtaja, manuelno se povecava ili zavrce na sraf pored klapne gasa

De si, care! Što se potrošnje tiče, to sve zavisi, ali to je normalno. Ne bi ti savetovao da šteluješ šraf na leptiru gasa, pošto onda neće da ti radi kompjuter kako treba. Neće da ubaci u auto u ler gas mod. Ler bi trebalo da ti bude 700-800 obr.

@@mercedeske ma to taj sraf okrenem na leptir gasu to je to, inace zna raditi na 500-600obrtaja i muci se dok malo ne zagrije tako radi hladan, a na 1100 radi normalno doduse ja ga povisim na 1000 al kad on zagrije ide na 1100 povecava sam unos goriva sebi a naravno tak sraf kad odvrcem sam sebi pokacava smjesu a ako zavrnem osiromasi je i hoce se ugasiti moguce da se u voznji od vibracija sam sraf dovrne pa pri narednom hladom paljenju obrtaji su bas niski, inace nisam imao nikakvih problema sto se toga tice za taj sraf jer je kod njeg drugcije u odnosu na mercedesa taj srafic da se odvrce zavrce srafciger minus. Znaci ipak je normalno da to bude potrosnja obzirom da je kombinovano brdo, nizbrdo, ravnica i po gradu par km. Kompjuter kod njeg je onaj pored vozacevih vrata u pragu(pored rucicu za haubu) jedino kad sam imao problema s paljenjem je ono s pumpom i sad mi drzi selotejp traka zivu na plusu na pumpi umjesto srafa, sraf zahrdjo toliko da je otpo s navojem. Ali funkcionise fala Bogu i ovako traka mjenja sraf i zastitio sam da voda me zalazi na njeg armirana traka ona jača i drzi dobro. Svako dobro

No, it isn't. I haven't even disassembled my fuel distributor and my car is 35 years old.

Hi. Yes, just see the ratio. This goes for new injectors to preserve them. If you have the old ones then nothing will help, they simply have to be replaced. Greetings.
