Greetings from Germany. Thank you for the very detailed instruction. Now I see that the cover gets fitted after the mirror. I didn't manage to fit the cover with a mounted mirror, so I installed the mirror after the cover. You can imagine, how difficult it was. I used a thin wire to hold the spring up until the mirror was attached, then I pulled the wire to get the spring to clip. However. The electronical mirror adjustment doesn't work now, so I have to disassemble it again, but this time with your help. Will save me a lot of time and nerves. Thank you very much. One of the best instructions in KZfaq.

You should mention that if it doesn't come out easily, you have to press on that metal tab or clip that you grab on 3:46 with a flathead screwdriver and pull the case. That metal tab is what holds the case

correct. If the housing doesn't come off easily you can poke that clip to help release the housing cover . Good call .

No wonder why the mirror wiggles while driving..ill try to adjust it w the cover off tomorrow. Its 🌧. 2 brains are better than one like they always say. Can someone guide me why i cant activate the rear fog light but just the front...i press the bottom and what it does it activates the front fog lights instead. Is it because ive installed H8 led’s? It used to wk at some point. Ive checked the bulb and its fine.

the rear foglight switch should turn on both rear and front . pressing up turns on only the fronts . My first guess would be the lighting control module that controls the foglights . It may not like the LEDs . It's designed to shut off a circuit if it doesn't see enough resistance across the circuit . Could just be a bad switch too , but swapping the LEDs back out is a free check

Wanted to ask if you have ever had an issue with the side mirror not returning to position after you reverse? I want to try swap the motor from one mirror to the other and see if that fixes it

nerves that control the hand are trapped at the elbow . requires a small surgery to repair , but covid holding it all up . glad the vids help

Hey there I am wondering if a 2006 C280 4matic for $5k ( or less ) might be a good replacement for the 97 C230 that is 100% except for some body rust fix. I dont want to go through replacing everything that the 230 needed its got 143k miles on it and was garaged and local?

The big issue for the w203 is little elictrical gremlins..mostly easy to fix stuff. Make sure the body is good because they can rust badly if not looked after . The 280 and 4 matic are reliable and the 722.6 is a bulletproof transmission as long as the fluid is changed every 60k miles or so. A fair price as long as it has been cared for

Have a non mirror question. Been having an issue with brakes squeaking badly. When i got the car it was perfect. i replaced the discs and pads (i bought MEYLE brand) those squeaked every morning for a few minutes then they would be fine. I found that annoying so the next time i had to replace the discs and pads i bought from the dealership. The bloody things are worse from day 1 and since i have to drive on gravel often then squeak sooooo badly like my pads are completly worn out. Had them inspected but they not worn at all. If i clean them out with compressed air or pressure wash the brakes (thinks its brake dust or actual dust as the roads have a very fine sand on them) it makes it better for a day or two but then its back to the fully fury of squeaking. I scared to spend a fortune on discs and pads and still have the same issue. do you have any advice and im deff not buying from the dealership again

did you apply brake grease or anti squeal grease between the pads and the caliper piston ?

@@fupabox Most certainly not!!!!!!!!! I shall do so immediately. Would i also need to replace the brake pad clips and if so how do i know if they worn out. Its a 2003 model and im assuming they have never been changed
