/ woodsandbarclay The fuel pump was leaking in the initial startup video. In this video I rebuild it with all new plungers, o-ring, and crush washers. Works like a charm.

I see you had to grind part of the housing to get the socket in too. 3/4" seems to be what those hose fittings take. I am gathering because they may be some USA standard fittings for our cars. Everything else was metric.

Yes you are correct I did have to take off a little material but it doesn't hurt anything at all. Good eye!

you happen to have any info on the "nippled fitting" into this lift pump? Am converting to AN6 fittings and really need this to replace all my horrible fuel lines and leaks. (on a horribly done customized conversion yet.... HAS to be my daily driver ASAP)

I'm sorry I do not know the thread pitch of the nipple fitting. I would have to remove one and figure it out.

when you have had these apart. do you see any reason it would not work to remove the fitting with fuel feed nipple on it... cut it off.. drill and tap that area for an NPT fitting? Does one of the check valves closed against that fitting orrr???

I like your video I've heard in the UK they can adjust the m pump are you gonna try adjusting it for peformance

No I'm just going to keep everything stock but yes you're correct you can have the pump professionally built and adjusted to get more power.

Thanks for showing the pump rebuild. I suspect the black internals of the fuel side were from your plunger shaft oring leaking engine oil into those areas. Who is the manufacturer of the rebuild kit? Those white check valves look a little different than the OEM ones. Did you see any pitting on the surfaces where the check valves seal and if you did, were you able to remove pitting? Thanks again!

There was no pitting and you can get the rebuild kits on eBay I think you search for dkg301

@@woodsandbarclay No worries. Your video was quite helpful. And the correct part number shows these kits for $10-15. If purchased through a "mercedes" vendor, they're jacked up to $45.

Where did you get the rebuild kit from?

I think I ordered it on eBay. You can also call the dealer or get it from any parts supplier online. Shouldn't be difficult to find after a 5 or 10 minute search on the inner web.

DGK301 is the part number I think
