I found a lot of people online wanting to repair this, but unable to find a video dedicated to showcasing the process.

and follow my guide! This took me endless hours without instruction, but can be done in under 60 minutes without an issue.

Where did you get the front grill? I have purchased three of them and the camera doesn’t work with any of them. It just comes out over and over again. Super annoying.

I used my OEM and had it plasti-dipped while getting my rims done the same.

I can see it taking an hour if you have the tools and do step by step with the video. It was driving me insane while I left it broke for a few weeks

I just broke mine in my car & was searching for just the gray divider part with no luck & ended up here. I can’t believe how ridiculous they make this instead of just selling the little tray part for to be replaced. I’m gonna try and rig mine somehow as this is an insane amount of work & im sure at least a few hundred bucks to buy that whole large replacement part. How much was it if you don’t mind me asking?

Hi! I recommend just replacing it the right way.. it’s not *terribly* hard, and you want to keep your “S Class” feel. The part was $250 at my local dealer, and $170ish online. I purchased mine online.

I totally agree but man it was bugging me. If you change your mind - I believe this video would allow you to do the job in under 90 minutes. It’s wild how involved it is! I’m glad the video allowed you to see the fix!

@@McCuneRS oh for sure! Good job with the video and big props to you for going through with it successfully, it must have been stressful. If my wife broke it I would do the same just to show her what she did and how hard it is to fix it lol. So that she thinks a little before breaking something like that. But for me, I got the car with it already broken so it doesn't bug me that much. How did it happen btw, did she pull on it with force or what?

@@6Mephisto666 You’re very right I made her watch this video hahaha. It took me the her entire 6 hour weekend shift at work to fix it! I’m not really sure how they break, but my best guess would be lifting from the wrong side. It could be really easy to mix them up and the small plastic down there would break with any pressure in reverse!

Brooooo. You’re a life saver. My son just decided to rip open the compartment door to the cup holder and now its resting in piece to never close again 🤦🏽‍♂️. My question is…..the new part comes with the mechanism that opens and closes the MAIN door to the whole compartment, right?

I’m glad I could help! And yes, it comes with the top piece as well. It’s always our loved ones who break the damn thing hahaha Google the part number in the description, it should show you a diagram to confirm!
