Really like the old MB V8's. Never gets old. I had similar problem but turned out to be one of the spark plug wire. Thanks for sharing.

Really good time to buy v8's as everything is going hybrid, electric or downsizing everything. I sadly sold all my v8s even the 7 series that I've repaired 100% but I always buy and sell....so who knows?

I was having a rough idle and sometimes a no start on my 1994 sl500. first of all the intermittent start was coming from a bad connection at the batter terminal ,At the terminal there was a pig tail connection to the fuel pump barely hanging on so i cut that off and put a new connector on thus problem solved.for the rough idle i found that the cap and rotor was at fault upon replacing it literally fell apart in my hands (no wonder ) after replacing problem solved . not service affecting but i also replaced the crank and camshaft sensors .also there are 2 caps and 2 rotors under a cover front of the engine left and right side .

I don't have a part nr for that. You have to buy the hole distributor cap set and will come with all the parts or try to search a Mercedes catalog parts. If I'm going to find the number I'll put it in the description of the video
