Hello Keith. Sorry to hear you're having drama getting the slide pins out. When you say angle grind, am I right in thinking you mean cutting along the length of the cast calliper body along the length of the guide pin area, then prising apart the cut line so as to hopefully release the guide pin.....? Theoretically it sounds plausible. I'll be honest I have no idea what it would do to the structural integrity of the calliper.... would the prising apart permanently deform it, would you need to weld it back up, could you clean the inner side of the weld sufficiently to allow free movement of the guide pins, can the cast calliper even be welded??? Is all of this even economical against ultimately replacing the calliper?? Have you tried heat? Heat usually frees most things, however, you do need to consider the damage that may be caused to the seals on the main pistons. If using heat (blow torch) you'd be best of detaching and disassembling the whole calliper and doing it in a more controlled and safe area away from the vehicle. @@fixitfallows hi, thank you for replying much appreciated. I was.....well am going to cut across and through just the slider pin guide...the part exposed under the little rubber gaiter seal. This will allow me to separate the two caliper components, I will use a 1mm disc to cut with and will leave enough of the slider guide to hopefully get out after a good soak in oil and careful use of heat as you suggest with mole grips. I have new parts already, pleasantly surprised less than £18.Your video though is my main tool :)

I just use the Eicher ones from Europarts.
