whats going on guys
first off let me apologize for not being bale top upload any videos the last month
due top personal family issues i had to attend to
now everything is in the clear
so im happy to say ill be back to uploading more videos and content for you guys
so lets get into it
in this video i do a step by step guide how to remove the rear door panel on your pre facelift mercedes benz w204....
i also show in detail how to access other components behind the door panel itself and attached to the door frame,
such as ...
the door lock pin...although i did another video which shows in detail how to remove and install/upgrade the locking pins...so be sure to check out that video
the electrical module..which ensures all the electronics function correctly , held in by 2 t30 torx screws
the motor for the power window... held in by 3 torx screws
the srs air bag sensor for the rear door passenger seat, which seem to be riveted in, so i believe they must be drilled out to replace them if need be
the orange led light for the door handle...i show how to disassemble it in order to remove or replace it ....just be very careful when doing so....
the metal panel riveted to the door panel .... which must be drilled out to be removed....and in doing so will give you proper access to the window regulator and the rear coaxial speaker.....
as for the speakers... i briefly explain in this video that in order to upgrade them you would have to buy the appropriate adapter plug to connect an aftermarket speaker ...
the rear door trim held in by 5 10mm aluminum bolts which are extremely soft , so take extra care when remove them do not over tighten nor use too much force when removing .... as you can destroy them real easily...
the rear window switch button....
the rear door welcome logo , which can be removed from the front of the door panel ... you do not need to remove the door panel to gain access to remove it...i just wanted to show how it was held in from the inside, you could easily use a trim removal tool and prey it out from both sides to upgrade it to whichever style you choose....
the plastic glow piece which allows the raer door handle to glow orange as well as the actual orange led light ... i show exactly how to remove this part in detail...so you may do with it as you please
i also briefly explain that it is important to install the rear door handle cable properly as it allows you to open the door when you pull on the door handle from either side...
and just to mention, if for some reason your cable is seated correctly but your rear door handle still fails to work ... it maybe due to other reasons such as the white plastic piece can break off with wear and tear...or the plastic pivot pin could be broken in which case you would have to buy a kit and fix it all ..which involves removing the trim piece from the door panel and cutting the melted plastic rivets and removing the door handle form the door panel and replacing it altogether..there are a few videos already on youtube showing this fix ....
next i show how to reinstall the door panel and the importance of aligning the rear door panel correctly so that it sits flush with the bottom of the rear window seal.... this is an important step as it will not look properly installed if done incorrectly..
