Local 7 over here. Did rods for a few days. It's alright, but just not really my favorite thing. Have done 2 days of structural and so far I love every minute of it. Moving the big iron is for me. It takes a bit of time to get used to walking up high on the beams but once you get used to it, it's fun as hell. Can't wait to go back to work on Monday.

makattak88 I want to get into this trade? Is the union the only way to go? Do I need to take an aptitude test. I took one for the elevator union and failed miserably. I studied for 2 months also and bought all this stuff I just suck at test. I always had a interest in iron work. Could you fill me in.
