>Easy install is to install the impeller on the shaft then slide the housing down the shaft and then just rotate the shaft pushing down on the housing , About a half a turn and the housing will drop right to the bottom. On other pumps that you half to fight to install the impeller, ( inboards ) try squeezing the impeller with a hose clamp until it is small enough to slide into the housing, WALA!

Don't place the pump in the housing first place it on the drive shaft then rotate the shaft.

the orange is for the pump base, having trouble finding where those go because mine needs replaced noone seems to replace those

Very helpful.Thanks. Wondering what kind of rpms the top drive can handle, if someone wanted to upgrade the engine? Or is it more of a torque issue than rpms that would cause the top gear or stern drive to fail.
