I've always wanted to see a Mercury player....I see them advertised on the record sleeves of Mercury albums. Funny how you don't see them. Beautiful sound. Very impressive. Really great meeting you RCA at the antique phono show!

I had one. Played 78/33/45/16 RPM I think. The stack held 6 45rpms easily. My dad (RIP) left it for me when my folks divorced, my dear mom gave it away to the local milkman. I shall never forgive her till I die :-( Thanks for sharing, brings back very fond memories of my childhood.

I have a similar one. Got it working today after 30 years lying in some storage room. But its temperamental, takes time to start spinning. And nothing works in auto. But it plays.

Yes I have the spindle but didn't use it for this video. Just picked this unit up and it has a Great sound. Philips made nice sounding portables in the 60's.

rcavictor1 I had the same but it doesnt rotate anymore. Do you have any idea which could be the problem? Do you have the service manuel or do you know where I can find it? Thanks!!

@@Holden24. Keep rotating the turntable with your and switching the auto switch on off. Mine also is temperamental in rotation but once it starts rotation, it plays well. No auto function though.
