Dane, looks like you are totally immersed into life in the USA, some exceptional reviews over the last few weeks. Awesome to see your channel growing and succeeding! That Fjord in Hermes orange looks excellent.

Thanks Martin 🙏 I had a great time in the 🇺🇸 and was blown away by the variety of boats and all the different waterways!! Headed back for Sydney Summer today and will plan another trip next year. So much to cover in the US it will take me years to film it all!

Haha so yes my Northern Hemisphere mates are all headed into winter 🥶 but summer is about to start for us. So provided I keep moving then summer will always be coming on my channel ☀️… I want to bring some fun and sunshine to your day so glad you enjoyed it!

Dan, thanks for the boat test. Cool boat, but usual I wonder about a couple of driving and performance points. Watching you lean forward and reach over the throttles to use the joystick, it looked like the joystick is very poorly situated. The joystick looks awkward to reach, and the throttles appear to be in the way. Second, it seemed like the V-12's had to be cranking higher than 5,000 rpm to attain a high cruise over 30 knots. I much prefer to run outboards at 4500 rpm or below on long runs, and I was disappointed the Fjord won't lope along at 28 knots at say 4400 rpm. But it is a cool boat in many ways, although I'm not a fan of the orange color on the one you drove.

Dan, How would you compare the hull design to the Valhalla 41 you reviewed? What has surprised you most with reference to American boating habits and culture? Thanks

Very, very different. The Fjord is a huge boat compared to the Valhalla so you could literally live on the Fjord for a week if you wanted to where that's not an option on the Valhalla. In terms of driving thr Fjord is about as exciting and fun as I have experienced for the Med Day Boat category but she doesn't compare to the Valhalla which is in a class of it's own when we're talking about performance.

Yes similar vibe for sure. Although Fjord was first to the mass market with this look back in the early 2000's. Wally was first but they are not mass market.
