No worries, glad you found it helpful 🙂 It's a good switch to be fair.

i will be taking their switch but with no poe as i dont need it, im wondering do all unmanaged switches work the same? do i need to worry priority pc wont get enough speed when network is loaded?

I've heard good enough things about Mercusys unmanaged (non-PoE) switches yes. I'm general most unmanaged switches work in a very similar way yes, and most will not prioritize desktop PCs (or whatever). Some offer 'semi-managed' features which can allow for prioritization, but in general you would need some level of management features to start saying "give more priority to these 3 devices" or whatever 🙂

@@TechOverwrite Thanks! got the switch and seems for now network is most of the time fast enough that priority wont be needed so im happy

I saw that you said that it wouldn't be possible to use it with an Access Point if I bought 2 of these Mercusys PoE Switches and plugged them into each other and each one had a cable to power a Ubiquiti Access Point, what would this Ubiquiti Access Point be? I need 2 in my house, one at the bottom and one at the top and I wanted to power them through these Switches by buying 2 and using one for each Access Point. Would work??

Great question, I should have expanded on that particular point a bit. So the Ubiquiti APs are fairly low power, and looking at their specs, it should be fine to power these from the Mercusys switch - especially if you're using 1 per switch 🙂 I guess the problem I mentioned would only occur if you had slightly higher APs, and used every PoE port to power those APs. Then the power budget would get exceeded. But what you describe would be fine.

Can I power this switch with POE?

Unfortunately not. It requires a standard wall socket/power supply.
