The Lord reminded me of this song this morning. After a 20 year marriage, my husband filed for divorce in 2008. The morning after he told me he was filing for divorce, I was driving to work in the darkness. This song came on the radio. I have never felt the presence of God like I did that morning when this song came on and I knew the Lord was assuring me I would be fine. I went through breast cancer in April 2009 and 8 months later, I was diagnosed with Brain cancer. My walk with God, through his Son, Jesus Christ, was and had been a constant in my life for many years. It was through this journey that I sought Him even more through His Words of healing and comforting scriptures. I also bought Meredith's CD --You're Not Alone. I listened to these sweet and comforting words being sung while I slept during the night, during the day and on my way to appointments. They were healing to my heart and my body. I never got to say "Thank You, Meredith... so I tell you now. I was just asked to give resources to another who is on the cancer journey and your cd is what I shared with them. Blessings and God's Grace multiply unto you. Sincerely in Christ Jesus and Rejoicing in His Total Healing in my body. I am cancer free and have been for over 6 years. Married at 17 , to a man who left many scars on my soul...left at 30 with 5 small children, all broken too. This song could have been me literally. Few days ago I tried to commit suicide. But God unendingly give's me hope. He's the only one I can trust at times I don't even trust myself. Thanks to the people who never gets tired of making songs like this.

This song made cry and seriously look at my life. Since then I have grown much stronger in my faith, been re-baptized, and have truly given my whole heart to Christ. I have a very, very clear memory from my childhood - when I was little I hid in a cupboard whilst my parents fought, and I felt the embrace of a man's arms in the impossibly small space, and heard him comforting me. I've had 5-sense hallucinations of that man my whole life, especially in times of stress. I've had myself checked for all the normal nutty explanations - not psychotic, not epileptic, not schizophrenic. My doctors opinion? Probably an Angel, a spirit, or a figment of my imagination. Whichever he is, I hear this song it it makes me think of him. I've never been religious but the music and the message are incredibly beautiful.

I was in hospital after emergency c section, with Sepsis and only a 50% chance of living. I'm not religious but i did pray to God saying, 'Please God i am really scared right now, i don't want to leave my family behind. please cure me'. Three days later i was moved from being on an iv drip to tablets and i have recovered. Is this my proof that God exists? A few months later my son was forcefully taken from me by social services, he is being adopted against my will, there's nothing i can do now about it. I think of what i have when i listen to this song, my family have helped so much, i imagine this song from my fiancee's point of view through all this.
