This is fantastic, thank you so much Laura! I love drawing my illustrations and pattern motifs in Fresco and have been looking for some tips on workflow between Fresco and Illustrator when preparing final artwork so it's clean and in general print ready. This video is super helpful. Would love to see more videos on Fresco + Illustrator. Also, out of curiosity: what brush settings did you use for drawing the flowers in Fresco? I love their organic look. Thank you 🌸

Glad it was helpful! I used a jitter brush and changed the jitter setting to size 65% and space 17% and I make it not too pressure sensitive. It's great to hear you love the Fresco to Illustrator workflow - it's one of my favorites.

The blob brush in Illustrator does not have jitter, so for me, I found it easier to draw this using the vector brush in Fresco. It's more of a style/brush preference for me. I could have also drawn it in ink on paper and then image traced it in Illustrator.

I’m having trouble exporting to Adobe illustrator. I keep getting an error message saying export failed. I also noticed when I export to the Adobe illustrator app the resolution is scaled from 300ppi to 72ppi. Do you have any tips on fixing this problem? 😅

I occasionally get that error too, and recently there has been an issue with Fresco documents that contain placed images failing to send. You can try removing images, or as a last resort, export as a PDF and remove the clipping masks inside. Also, you might be looking at the "raster effects" resolution setting, which is different than resolution. Whatever you send to Illustrator should arrive with the same dimensions as the original art.
