I here everybody saying the environment is dying. Well like Merle said we need things that last. We also need to by things that can be repaired and then instead of throwing everything out causing problems with the environment try repairing them. It's the throw away society that's ruining the environment. If it breaks down, replace it. When I was young things were repaired if they could be. It was nothing to see someone in their driveway with the hood up on their vehicle making repairs. If it was something that they couldn't repair themselves then it went to the shop to be repaired. And a good deal of why things have to be thrown out and replaced nowadays is because the manufacturers realized that after they sold something to someone it would be a long to if ever before that person had to buy a new one. So in order to make more money they started making things in such a way that they had to be replaced because they could not be repaired. I often see comments on here that say money is the root of all evil. The saying is actually the love of money is the root of all evil. In other words, no matter how much money you have, you love it so much, that you would be willing to cause harm to everyone and everything around you just to get more money. You can never have enough.
