(not me rushing as soon as i get the notification, no no no no no) - oh, how i LOVE this, and how deliciously ironic it is, because those two dimwits do not need to rewrite anything, they are literally each other's destiny and wtf bbc, seriously. but i love the new meaning you gave the song, and how this vid makes you do what drives every merlin fan insane: play with "what ifs". oh, and your use of the gayness of the deleted scenes is absolutely amazing, thank you for your service to this fandom sdfkjshf

1:15 until 1:52 the lyrics during this part are usually song by someone different compared to the part before. my imagination makes Merlin sing the first part and then again the part from 1:53 onwards while Arthur voices his doubts starting at 1:15

In this version, I wanted the entire male voice because I think that until around 1:00 it's kind of reflecting both of them, then from 1:00 until 1:52 it fits with Merlin and his inability to tell Arthur the truth and take comfort in him because he's hiding part of himself, then, the 1:53 onwards was framed as Arthur coming to terms with it and showing acceptance
