I hate that these were cancelled. I feel like as time went on, the dolls would have gotten better and better. I would have loved if their tails were more articulated like Orra’s, just able to actually sit.

I was not that attached to them tbh but it still sad to see them discontinued but I know it will be very sad for people who were attached to them ❤😢

These dolls are gorgeous. I bought the entire series when they were released. For those who still want them, Dirt Cheap has a ton of them.

I saw a listing for mini dolls of these on Amazon def a bummer I was def curious about those. I think the price was too high on these dolls. The 1st wave wasn’t packaged well either plus Riviera had hair issues. I think even the 1st Harmonique might have been rooted badly as well 🤔. The car was always a strange idea to me 😂🤷🏻‍♀️. It’s a shame they didn’t give these more articulation like being able to sit. I did enjoy the fashion they came with. I def thought winter waves was an improvement. Their faces reminded me of project mc2 but I want to say these are actually prettier. I think this line needed a better name too tbh 😉🤗

I love them and am sad they are cancelled. I recently rebodied a few and their hair and faces alone were so worth it. I will be getting all of them and maybe some doubles.

The first mermaid doll I ever opened was a Mermaidz and I really like her, so I'm sad to see them go. Beautiful dolls, cute physiques, and unique tails (perhaps too unique). There were some design flaws like the standing feature and the series 2 bobbleheads. They went the way of Novi Stars, high priced for what you get and too gimmicky.

I really love my Mermaze Winter collection doll. She’s really beautiful and her purple hair is such good quality. I also love her glitter water tail. However, she is a very heavy doll, long in length, and impractical. You have to have the doll either lying down as they don’t bend. Mine is currently on a stand. I also feel the age target is wrong - 3+ is too young.

I will miss them tbh. Harmonique winter wavez is one of the most beautiful dolls in my entire collection and I will get Gwen before they're gone for good!💔

I really still like this brand and plan to get them all. The trademark has run out but there hasn’t been any official announcement from MGA and mermaze mermaids that I know of. I hope that one day they could come back with some improvements… I would love to get the other dolls that were announced. As far as them going on sale my area really never put them on sale. Today the first wave dolls were on sale for $23 but winter waves line is still full price. I got kishiko!

Dang, there was so much potential for these dolls. But I’m also kinda amused to see them go because of how RH stans couldn’t accept their pwecious MGA isn’t infallible.😂

I know many weren’t fans of these dolls & there were flaws but I really liked them. I think the winter line is better than the first. The snow globe effect is what sold me. Gwen is my favorite she gives Marilyn Monroe vibes. I’m probably the only one but I prefer a sculpted tail over a fabric one for a mermaid doll. I’m sad to see this discontinue. I saw a lot of potential.

I love loved the Mermaidz line, and I really think you're right about timing. I got the whole series (alot during holidays when we had crazy sales) But yea, I kinda low key am relieved that they are discontinued because from being a completionist with Rainbow Shadow High, most of Monster High Gen 3, and now I'm collecting Licca chan dolls that I am way overwhelmed

I bought a few of these on sale, but in Canada they were $45 and $60 in Canada for wave 1 and 2, and that is just too much. It's good the head fits on Barbie bodies, but that gets super expensive. I also don't think there is really much a kid can do with them. They are awkward to handle and take up a lot of space. I actually think Mermaid High dolls had more play value for this reason. Maybe some day there will be a mermaid doll with a joint at the hips or waist with two exchangeable lower body portions that are either legs or a tail. I assume the cost might be too high.

i have a few of these dolls but swapped them all onto wild hearts crew bodies which worked amazing!

I just fell in love with them after getting most of them on clearance on Amazon. So now I am disappointed that they aren't doing more. Because now that I like them, I would pay the higher price. The reason I stayed away from them originally was because of the high price point. They really are worth it, I just couldn't justify it at the time.

But after the Netflix show merpeople blix promotes mermaze dolls so I'm surprised they are not doing more of them. I just wanted tail swapping ect

7:14 the problem is that paint chipped and they would become loose like instantly. Covid wasn’t really a concern with these dolls and there is no way these dolls were designed before Covid :)

I hated series 1 and actually adored the winter line. Its disappointing that they cancelled it. If they kept improving the line. It might have gotten more popular. Maybe.

I got two Mermaid High dolls cheap. If you want to make a RH doll, a mermaid, their outfits fit. For $7, they aren't bad. Was thinking of putting Mari's outfit on PC doll Margo. Her hair screams mermaid.

Mermaze was a wasted potential. It had so many flaws with the packaging, articulation and lack of stands. I hated the designs. I can only imagine how beautiful would they be with more whimsical designs. RIP Merflops

I only have one bought reduced. I really like her a lot to my surprise despite her bad quality tail. I don't think I would have collected them actively but if I find some for the same reduced price, I'll definitely adopt one or two more. I don't like mermaids dolls very much in general but these are quite interesting and different in their weird way. Shame they disappeared so fast.

I was hopeing that a wave would come with all the dolls got legs ..... the tails was for me the main reason not to get them.

Recently fell in love with these dolls (though not a fan of the tails) and bought almost all for $11 each and less. Just need Orra. I am rebodying their heads with MTM barbie bodies and restyling them in Barbie Extra outfits and am obsessed. Mermaze dolls have some of the most gorgeous faces ever in a playline doll

Not surprised that it has been cancelled. Not a very well thought out series. I loved the dolls faces but that was it. I mean these dolls are mermaids, kids who these dolls are mainly aimed at, are going to want to play with them in the bath so why were they dressed in exaggerated fashion designs?!

Sooo Elvira, 4 months after you put out this video, pictures of the Sirenz sisters have surfaced, and as far as I know, MGA hasn’t released any official statement staying that this line was totally cancelled. Thoughts??

As a mermaid myself I really love these. Gorgeous dolls wonderful concept I'm so upset they're cancelled so are alot of people. MGA is making a major mistake cancelling Mermaze....why would they cancel these beautiful beautiful dolls just because of Mermaid High thats dumb...they should of been up for tge challenge...Why do they cancel everything awesome and keep alot of their funky looking doll lines going. They didn't even give these dolls a fair chance MGA really messed up not to continue these.

Target is giving theirs to Goodwill. I saw quite a few of them in my local Goodwill for 19.99.

I loved them too, got 3 on clearance. Best buy ever. I saw the clear car at a TJ Maxx for 15 USD and was running in circles around it, not able to decide if I should take it. I did not and regret it, but I just don't have the space :D

I think their price point really doomed them. I felt Na Na Na Suprise also may have been cancelled as well. I have not seen the minis in person just Amazon. The regular sized dolls are no longer on store shelves either. I always thought they were overpriced for what they were same as Mermaze. Personally I only collected dolls geared towards adults, I have some exceptions in my collection, and they have lasted for years like Living Dead Dolls. It's not guaranteed they will last but they weren't at the mercy of a very narrow age group.

In my opinion seeing them in stores, I was not drawn to them. I do not mean this with disrespect, but their faces spooked me. So I did not buy any of them. For me, I’m so hooked on Rainbow High, that’s the only doll line I’m only interested in buying. So I’m sad to see Mermaze Mermaidz is now canceled.

I am sad that they're discontinuing the dolls 😥, but I agree, $40 was just too much😬. Although, they are really high-quality dolls compared to today's Barbie 🤩. I found Harmonique for $10 at Burlington and Jordie and Riviera at Marshall's for $10. I bought all 3!! I got 3 Mermaze dolls for less than the price of one! 🤯

In my head canon i feel like in the battle betweeb mga v mattel Last year mga was doing it and even shading barbara And this year mattel got back the disney license and was ready to wipe out the mermaid doll demo with the little mermaid. I like to think mermaid high and mermaze releases started the engines for the little mermaid remake.

They could do something similar because their faces are gorgeous! I bought some of these and changed their bodies to Barbie ones! They have the most beautifull faces and inserted eyes are bomb❤ Also I have to buy second wave Harmonique, Kishiko and maybe Gwen before they dissapear😢 I was hoping for third wave with slumber party characters like Monroe, Brynn and Zuna and I wished they could have updated first wave line with Saria - loved her vibrant green hair❤. Uhm I almost forgot about The Electrics characters: Jaycee and Dani, both of them are so punk and fun! Yup, they looked so cool in animated series!😢 in comparison to other dolls with inserted eyes like Rainbow High I like the design of the mermaidz more, to bad them being mermaids is actually their flaw

I just started collecting these. I’ve been collecting crystals for years but after I find a nice Chaorite I’m going to focus on doll collecting. I have two of the Harmoni dolls. I’m still going to buy the other three dolls. But I’m wondering if I should buy two sets of each doll. Unbox one for display and keep the boxes for if they start selling and I need a quick buck.

I was always so interested in them, as i love mermaids and ocean themes in general. The price point is what always stopped me from buying them, especially since i wasnt huge on their eyes/face (too serious/dead look in their eyes). I loved the snow globe tails, totally neat and new. Maybe I'll buy one if i find one on clearance.

I love these dolls there face is nice and realistic and not so round like others, the make up and inset eyes! My only complaint is that there mermaids so I do head swap and get a made to move mermaze mermaid! Still my favorite!

The biggest reason is the fact that you showcased a doll line that was on the the way out , and it wasn’t a new line that is upcoming or currently really popular ( hello Barbie the movie dolls) Doll collector video’s can be somewhat tedious when there are 5 content creators talking about the exact same doll, or dolls that are super hard to get ( like Monster High Mattel Creations) I like that you also mentioned that you have stopped trying to be a completionist . Doll collecting is a VERY expensive hobby. Once I started forgetting what I had in my collection and I felt like my doll collection was going to burst at the seams, I decided to only get the dolls that I really like. I don’t want to be 70 years old and be shlepping a million dolls all over the place lol. I do like the Mermaize line- but I also think it’s okay for MGA to not be the top dog in every doll line. Competing brands like Mattel and MGA are actually good because both lines are working hard to keep us interested and inspired. ♥️

I'm sorry, I didn't really like them. I don't like mermaid dolls to begin with, and these seemed to be even worse. I like the styling but they seemed to be over the top and not fun to play with. Howevery, I shouldn't say that since I never bought one.

As a mom, I'll tell you these dolls are NOT made to last if they are regularly played with by children - especially in water. I was shocked when I saw how long the dolls held up after being regularly played with during bath time. The show was really good and the dolls are aesthetically pleasing with lots of potential. But I dont think the target audience was originally intended for children. Otherwise, I feel like they would have made them more durable. These dolls make a great collectors item though. Great to look at, not to play with.

I ended up getting up just now and it’s the Jazzy one since I wanted one with braids and when I saw her I was so gagged! Like her hair is so long and was not expecting that 😅. I wished they did have legs tho.

I think there were a lot mistakes with this doll line. First of all the tail was too stiff, the doll cant sit down. Second, personally I dont like the doll face, they don't have emotion. The clothes and accesories were cool. But they needed more to make it more fun, more clothes and maybe a pet. But this is just my opinion.

It is worth putting them into made to move bodies. Then it is a beautiful doll.

I never got them because of the tails being out of the package. I have an immune system defect and now that their on clearance I want them now. I can clean the tails after getting doll out of the box the dolls their beautiful dolls. With the dolls being released during covid that is what hurt mermaidz dolls with the boxes. Like you said if their boxes were closed then they would have sold better

Okay - thoughts. First - this video gives me sailor moon with those transitions. I have no idea why. Now - I think the dolls are pretty but I actually think the name is what did them in. Had they been “mermaid high” instead of the other one…maybe it would have done better. I agree that toy lines need good series to go with it. I honestly think Rainbow High could have a half hour cartoon somewhere if they wanted - but good animation and story won’t save a doll line. RIP EAH. I didn’t buy any of these dolls tho for one specific reason. Their tails were not removable. I didn’t want to have to rebody them. Their fashion wasn’t conducive to water play. I just - if they were convertible like Mermaid High, that would have made them more valuable for me - especially for doll photos.

I waited till all on clearance ythe first one never stood with her tail I rebodied them all. The upper part I wouldn't want to get wet. I had to cut so much of the harmony one her hair was clinging to everything. I put it in a ponytail to make tolerable. I cut half still to her feet. Cut another 5 inches of.

I think the Winter Wave is my favorite set for Mermaze. I don't have any of them, but I would go for one from Winter Wave for sure. Sad that they cot cancelled.

I always thought they were beautiful but I really didn’t like the strip of glitter over the cheeks and nose. Also the first wave increased in price in store to about $37. I just have not caved to get one of the ones I really liked best. Too many other dolls being released that I want more.

I use Orra as tail for when I was having a panic attack because her tail bends and moves and it has that feel to it like a common feel for me My issue was for the other ones I took heads put on rainbow high junior high body cause I love the size of that I think they look good and rebody I do have an extra one of that I kept in storage so I don't get it They are maged or anything cause it's beautiful

I've been a fan of them from the very beginning! The animated show could've done better,the plot had potential, and the characters weren't as fleshed out as I would've liked. I'm sad that they didn't go farther! I recently just finished collecting all of the dolls (Winter Waves Kishiko was the last one I needed), and I ADORE them! People thought they were dead eyed and scary, but I always thought they were lovely! The tails were definitely problematic, but I appreciate that they were trying to do something different! Didn't stop me from buying them all! Winter Waves was such an improvement from series 1, and it sucks that we won't get the Slumber Party dolls! It was fun while it lasted I guess! Shellnelle, Nera, and Jordie are my favorites! But all of my Mermaze Mermaidz dolls are spoiled! I put them on different bodies, and then the real fun begins! They are so fun to dress up! I feel bad for the people who like them and won't be able to get them anymore... But I never liked them, their eyes and the texture of their tails make me think of dead fish... 😅 And mixing fashions that you'd wear on the street with the underwater/mermaid theme doesn't work for me. Their hair is beautiful, I'll give them that.

I was excited about these until I bought one. I bought Riviera for about $15 on Amazon and even at that price, I was underwhelmed, so I cannot IMAGINE buying one at full price. Her hair is AWFUL, the tail feels cheap, and I do NOT understand why they couldn’t be articulated so the dolls can sit properly, especially since they did so well articulating the upper half. The packaging is atrocious and difficult to get the dolls out of. And who is going to pay $30+ for these when a RH or SH doll is only about $25, is better articulated, has good quality hair, and comes with either a 2nd outfit or a bunch of accessories?

I never had one but reading the comments I definitely wouldn't have liked them as you can't get them to sit
