Another benefit to the Lutron plug is that natively their switches and devices act like range extensors for other Lutron devices. So if your Wi-Fi is a bit spotty outside then if you have switches that within range you’ll have better connectivity overall. And this isn’t even taking into account that the Lutron works on a lower frequency which can penetrate walls better then wifi can. If you don’t have issues with your wifi then this is less of an issue.

Great points! Hopefully soon we'll all have Matter plugs that work with mesh wifi and other frequency bands so connections issues and programming become a thing of the past.

And I came looking for setup instructions cause after our router went down I have to reconnect everything and I lost the manuals and forgot how to do it! Thanks so much

Could this be used with a portable heater without the worry of tripping a breaker?

The spec output is 120V~, 60Hz. Max 15A. So I don't think you'll have a problem unless you have a lot on that breaker. I wouldn't plug every outlet with a heater, but I'm sure it could handle at least one, depending on the pull of the heater. I run a heater through their other outlets with similar specs without a problem.

Yes you can use any smart plug with a heater as long as its 15A and your heater says it has a max of 1800 W (1800 W / 120 V = 15 A). I use it everyday during the winter without a problem. Besides, most smart plugs will also "smart cut off" if consumption of more than 15 A is reached by a plugged device.
