@@JLX5 There are lots of VP to be made with contracts and with spices, you can easily break 100 Points focusing on either of them. This of course also requires a couple of matching courtiers, as well as maximizing your influence. When building walls you want to get the most influence with the fewest actions, e.g. finding the right moment to build two walls for 8 influence points (and then get a few extra influence by placing soldiers on other people houses with the bonuses you get from contracts or caravans). It's just a matter of optimization :)

The game is amazing, but we have seen that the Mosque track is very powerful! I will go and read that Fabio has written about it!

I lost to my nephew the other day when I went heavy on the mosque track (he focused on caravansary) and lost again today to someone who did a mix of goods and palace when I focused on the mosque and palace. There is so much going into each strategy, it's hard to say what is best. The best seems to be what the other players let you get away with or can't prevent lol.
