Hard doesn't always equal good. None of their songs are particularly difficult, but that doesn't change the fact that it's damn good guitar work.

I watch this everyday, it's the greatest thing ever. Especially if you play and love these kind of guitars.

People that think it sucks because they're playing the same thing are idiots, look at metallica in the 80s, most of the time kirk and James were playing the same thing too. And those were some of the best riffs ever. Having two guitars makes it sound much bigger/heavier/beefier/better. Even bands with one guitarist almost always have layers of other guitars playing the same thing in their studio recordings, example: Pantera on Cowboys from Hell.

Phil is using ESP Eclipse II (USA) with EMG pickups. The guitar on the guitar stand is ESP Eclipse II (USA) with Seymour Duncan (I assume it is APH-1, since I have the similar guitar). Alan is using ESP Horizon II with Seymour Duncan Blackouts pickups.

ESP Horizon HRF NT one of the older models though and Phil is using an ESP EC1000 QM also an older model, they're still in production just in different categories.

I love my mini rec. Only suggestion to Mesa is to turn down the Lights. I find the LED too bright. I added a trim pot to the LED and adjusted to work like blue accent lighting. Looks awesome. That Red ESP is beautiful! I wish they had that color out when I bought mine.

And they forget the roadies. Have you seen those guitar techs? They're insane.

Laying guitars on top (Dual Tracking) is a way to get a really heavy tone. I agree with what you said I'm just putting that perspective out there.

This is the only thing I've seen of the bands guitar work so I'm not basing this opinion on any other work by them and I'm not dissing them by all means too, but I wouldn't use this as an example of them being talented because this song is/would be easy to learn and play.

all you guys who talk crap about them playing the same parts do realize they are only playing certain parts together and that even when they do that helps make it sound better because of the harmonizing between the guitars and it would sound different if they played those parts with only 1 guitar.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say its a custom shop. but its probably based completely off the ESP eclipse-II series. i looked on their website and they don't have that paint on any of there EC models like phil is playing. and with it saying ESP on the headstock instead of LTD. means its a higher model or a custom shop
