One of the best definitions I ever read about Meshuggah. Their blend of Metal, avantgarde and Allan Holdsworth (thanks to Thordendal) is a cornerstone in modern music. They were able to make "popular" (well, they have millions wiews) such an incredibly complex and articulated formula.

I'm convinced he's not human. I saw them a few days ago in NYC and I was absolutely floored by his performance. It was during The Hurt That Finds You First that I just started laughing because his vocals were just relentless. No sign of strain or wear out. He does this day after day. It's almost unbelievable. I know Thomas Haake gets a lot of the credit, as well he should, but Jens has got to be one of the best metal vocalists in the world.

59:04 both guitars almost drop out. But the amazing thing is that they both lock back in the middle of the riff. That is actually pretty damn impressive. Not an easy thing to do in a riff as complex and technically challenging as Bleed.

Not sure about the first one, but the second one sounds like an error to me: at 59:12 you can quite clearly hear the guitar on the right anticipating the end of the phrase, stopping and picking the riff up in like 2 secs. That said, shit like this doesn't really matter, Meshuggah is above and beyond!

Blasted on booze, 50mg edibles, and a nicotine high, Demiurge was an absolutely life-changing experience live. "Terror rising. Agnostics nemesis. A prophet of extinction" I lost my mind, separated from my body, the gravity turned off, and I was transported to another another dimension. Thousands of people in that room but I was the only one there. I will NEVER forget that moment. Thank you Meshuggah!
