Only racists or idiots would say that here, its pretty much obvious? People get blinded by the political shit that happend, but his skills are undeniable, there wouldn't have been the world cup 2014 without him as it wouldn't without Schweinsteiger or Lahm. Özil is one of the last real 10 and like a real number 10 the end of his career was a little scandalous, on and off the pitch. But you can't take away that a prime Özil was top of the world and I'm thankful he used his talent for germany, I don't need to have anything todo with his political views, but he has my respect in terms of sport forever.

As an Arsenal fan, I'll always remember how much I wished he would join Arsenal after seeing him at World Cup 2010. Thought the ship had sailed after he went to Madrid but he still eventually came 3 years later. I'll never forget that excitement I felt, and I'm sure there were many other Arsenal supporters who shared that joy. It saddens me how his career eventually turned out with us.

The runs in the middle that were earlier made by Zidane were actually carried on by Ozil. He certainly acted as the heir to The Zinedine Zidane Throne at Madrid. Kaka was expected to fill the void but it was actually Ozil who did the job.

Best playmaker in the world and the closest thing to Zidane in terms of style. He was even better at Madrid but still an absolute world class player. Some EPL fanboys still say he is the worst player in their league LOL: I would never advise Neymar, Messi or anyone of these technical players to go to England because they do not appreciate genius and skillfull players over there. They prefer Joey Barton type of players who run their socks off and tackle all the time with zero ability and skill. I hope Isco and James remain in Spain, going to England would be a huge mistake. I still regret that we sold him and replaced him with a far inferior and more expensive James

Savage123 Özil is just as good and even better in terms of passing as he is the record holder of assists in Europe eventhough he didn't play with a world class striker for 3 years now and he also created most chances last season. Özil is the number one in assists since 2008 ahead of Messi and Riquelme, Messi is the more complete package, allmost just as good as Mesut at playmaking but scores way more goals, more pace, better shooting, better dribbling etc. but as i said, Mesut is the best passing playmaker for me while Messi is simply the most complete package and alongside CR by far the very best players in the world

I watch him since 2009 i miss him watching play he was everything for me when i was younger i have so much respect what talent he had his fottball brain works like a proffesor he dont play the ball to your feet he give you direction with his pass what u should do next i never seen an artist like him ❤

Özil plays every minute of every game for club and country at the highest level and the English press call him "lazy" lol. He runs as much as anyone his elegant style just makes it appear effortless.

yeah this type of playmaker requires more effort from teammates but can do crazy stuff if trusted, rarely succeed in big teams, eg. van der vaart, sneijder, ozil, eriksen, rosicky etc
