Zip ties are used for boning in ren faire outfits too. Or at least some of them…my mother who is/was a professional seamstress used them for her outfits and I used them for some of my corsets. They’re lighter and usually come out of their pack straighter than boning that you buy at a store. Those usually come coiled. (Plus you can add more zip ties to give more straight/strength. Or to seriously show the curves you want shown.) I’m glad zip ties are shown here. It’s cool to see they can be used for details like this. Also, I think he used them to create her crown/halo.

It's a very common technique, for both temporary and permanent boning. They are cheap and universally accessible.

Fascinating; I was impressed with the use of paper as a stabilizer for the tulle and then the grid for the positioning of the black rhinestones. I giggled when she was helping you hold her stays as you threaded them. When you added the veil, she shifted from pagan to almost western religion. It goes without saying, you've created another masterpiece.

Im also a doll gown maker and I swear tulle is one of the hardest fabric to sew! It really requires a lot of expertise to manipulate those kinds of fabic, but Nigel!?!?? You showed us your amazing skill especially for the bodice part, I literally gasped how you sew that very small detail!
