I am still insulin resistant. I have changed my life, lost 130 lbs, never had high BP, but all the rest and so did both my parents including hearts disease. I eat a modified keto, gotten rid of 5 autoimmune diseases, including stage 2 fibrosis in my NASH, which liver biopsy and ultrasound shows no more fat or fibrosis in liver. I still run 95 in fasting blood sugar, but 5.3 A1C. My mom died of NASH, so I didn’t take it lightly. Any suggestions for insulin resistance?? I have visceral fat still, I do HITT 3 hours a week in pool and run another 2 in pool. Need sleep study. Thank you for any suggestions

Stop doing keto and eat a balanced diet. Keto is the problem. Talk to a doctor who is an expert on insulin resistance and also speak to a licensed nutritionist. See what they have to say

You can also look up raw food diets, but always consult your dietician/doctor before you take it up

Resistance training. It's proven, backed by science, the more lean muscle mass one has in their legs, the more insulin sensitive a person becomes. Start weight training 3x a week. Move some weight, not 5 pound dumbbells. Get a trainer, if you have never lifted before. Don't injure yourself. Learn your lifts.

Sandrine I am 57 and broke both my legs and back 40 years ago. I do HIIT and tabata in the pool. I also jog w/water weights an hour 5x weekly. Because of COVID-19, no pool for 8 months...praying insulin resistance will be abated. Before accident I did resistance, tried after and vertebrae’s would lock😓...thank God they finally reopened the water center 🙏

@@jamicarpenter8760 what if you did isolation lifts, leg extensions and leg curls? Or upper body lifts like bench press, rows, or curls or tricep work?

Is diabetis hereditary.the ideas that one may a have a family trait of diabetes is ridiculous. I am from a large family (10) + parents. I am the youngest, no one in the family had diabetis, yet my doctor is telling I am diabetic. It's not a family trait, what is the cause of diabetis. My doctor says he does not know. Do not treat the symptom, treat the cause.
