Richard warren Ronnie was in Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath (aka Heaven and Hell), and, of course, Dio. He also organized Hear n' Aid which was a collaboration of 80's metal musicians to benefit Aids research. He died on my daughter's third birthday in 2010.

Alissa is far from Cyrus, Swift, The Britany singers, Alissa isn't in two metal bands (Kamelot Arch Enemy) because she is beautiful, she is in them because she is the best female vocalist for hardcore metal n rock music and Arch enemy wasn't made up by a bunch of idiots, AE is one of the best metal bands today, given the reasons they are number 1 band at all concerts this summer, There guitarist signatures is on dean guitars and the whole band is over talented real metal musicians with 'sell outs' ! and being the 'main attraction' over big bands like Anthrax. Alissa made the band even better because she has the real metal in her blood heart and vocals. *8,000 copies sold first 8 weeks is very very good for any metal band, they are not mainstream America and have to work hard n be talented to sell unlike the pop genre. Yes he surely is. I played Death Angels Room with a View in one of my English Classes in HS. (Was in Okinawa) Lot of filipino filipina classmates. They said it sounded awesome even some the Hip Hoppers liked it. When I told the class the group is filipino there was silence then one student said "F YEAH" he became a fan and started listening to more metal I converted a Hip Hopper to metal.

For Melodic Death I could recommend some older In Flames (Whoracle or Clayman album), Dark Tranquillity or At the Gates or maybe Amorphis, for Blackmetal maybe some Dimmu Borgir or Behemoth (I'm not the Mayham type of guy), for Power Metal go for Halloween, Hammerfall or Blind Guardian (personal favourite) or Powerwolf, for classic Heavy Metal the obvious Judas Priest and Iron Maiden as well as Accept and Gravedigger. Other recommendations would be Amon Amarth, Edguy, Children of Bodom, Eluveitie, Ghost (known as Ghost B.C. in the USA), Sabaton, Volbeat for some Party Music, and some female fronted Bands like Nightwish (I personaly prefer the older stuff with Tarja Turunen as singer, she is a trained classical singer), Epica, Within Temptation, and for something different: Arch Enemy (female fronted death metal). \m/

I've heard of Metal Allegiance, but how the heck am I just hearing this one, only NOW??? Very glad I did, and not gonna lie, definitely pulled at my heart strings and got me emotional. I am a metal child of the 80's and this tribute covers so many years, of me listening to this genre, with all the talent collected. Huge thanks to all the players in this one who have been coming through my speakers for so long, for those that are still doing it, and for covering this classic, from the true pioneer.

Hostile - First Wave Black Metal Metallica fired none of their bassists, Jason left. He's not the second best bassist either, Cliff is. Rob is their best in terms of skill.

What an awesome cover. Ripper is on a different level than most metal vocalists. Amazing playing by all 4 guitarists, and not surprising Alex Skolnick stands out. Who invited Zetro? Could done without that !!!
