I’m not sure about that particular video but if you want to see very young A7X, look at Second Heartbeat live at Warped Tour in 2003. Video is good quality and shows how much they’ve grown.

Their First album (sounding The seventh trumpet) was full of Songs with a Focus on screaming (except warmness on The Soul and streets). But every Song has a clean singing Part. Its Nice to hear. That was the time they didnt know who they were so they threw all music in they found. Very punk

Nice video man! Avenged Sevenfold has done some pretty awesome stuff, my personal favourite is "Not Ready to Die". They made it for Call of Duty Zombies, took them only a few days to make and it's one of their best songs.

If you wanna hear some of their punk roots you should listen to the song Streets from their debut album Sounding The Seventh Trumpeth. That song is basically a punk song.

Their album "sounding the seventh trumpet" is almost all screaming. Waking the fallen is probably 2/3 screaming. There are a lot of good live videos of them during their waking the fallen tours. I'll try to find one and comment a link if it'll let me. Also idk about what m shadows was into before avenged, but the rev and synyster gates had their own punk band called pinkly smooth. The rev sang and played piano, and synyster of course played guitar.

Waking the Fallen is a great blend of the screaming/singing. You’ve already heard Unholy Confessions at the end of LBC. Watch the official video performed from that era of a7x.

Just check anything from Sounding the 7th Trumpet to see how they used to be in their screamo/metalcore fase. Dont know about their punk bands, but Syn and Rev's old band "Pinkly Smooth" have one album called "Unfortunate Snort" primerly goblin-metal type stuff. More well known songs off the record are Mezmer and McFly.

Matt had a punk band called Successful Failure in high school and one of their songs, "Streets", was on Sounding the Seventh Trumpet, which explains the song's more punkier sound

You need to watch Avenged sevenfold All excess DVD , it is available on KZfaq in a 6 part series , their entire story from the start as kids , including M.shadows original band with zacky vengeance known as "successful failure" which is the punk band mentioned , very good watch and would be a very interesting review 🤟

Listen to or watch their video for Unholy Confessions. To me, that's a really good transition song where they still screamed a lot but started adding more singing and harmonies in their songs.

I grew up listening to Unholy Confessions from Waking the Fallen, I would recommend if you get a chance. It quickly became and still is my all time favorite from them

Avenged Sevenfold started off as a Metalcore band; which is Hardcore Punk and Heavy Metal A lot of screaming; but Waking The Fallen is a masterpiece and very groovy and melodic I suggest a listen The Death Bat Nation as we're called absolutely love this band just like fans of Metallica

Sounding The Seventh Trumpet only has two songs with clean vocals, and Gates wasn't in the band yet.

@@skylerblake6969 No, he's not. He's on the reamastered version of STST, but only on the intro track "To End The Rapture", the only guitarist on the rest of the album is Zacky. Johnny also wasn't in the band yet, Justin Sane played bass on that album.
