awesome video!! I look at these prefab like this 1. wood is 2x the cost 3x in some areas, 2. life of the actual building has got to be longer on a metal garage.3. like you said and did, you could poor a pad and a building in a week vs. pole barn style or block foundation style would take much longer. Plus they really do look nice when your home has a metal roof on it also. Thanks for the time you took on this I'm putting one up in the spring and needed to gauge size judging by yours this would give me plenty room to fill with half finished projects and empty beer cans. OHHHH and 4. YOU DONT HAVE TO SWEEP SNOW OFF YOUR WIFE'S CAR ALSO @430am ON YOUR WAY TO WORK!

Looks great. I'm putting up a garage shelter port that I got on auction. It's 20×20 but I'll be extending it 10 feet. I found 2 9x8 garage doors for $300. I'm super frugal with expenditures ya know lol so I'll be doing all my own labor and concrete and everything. I like watching how everyones shops turn out. I'm planning on insulating and electrical for welding and maybe a heater or a wooden stove. Depends a guess.

@everyday_life19913 жыл бұрын
At least 3-4 inches what I’ve been told. If I’m not mistaking I did a 3 inch slab
@fab_It_garage3 жыл бұрын
Writing this reply in order to help other people that want a steel building. The slab need to be the exact size of your garage. a 24x24 steel building requires a 24x24 slab. That is the reason you're having water problems as the steel framing has to sit FLUSH with the outside of the slab so that the steel siding hangs past the slab and water cant get in. DO NOT pour a slab bigger than the garage you ordered specially if you live in areas with snow you will get a lot of water inside. WATCH THIS kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rst5is6Ysp2zfHk.html
@ralphmowery28983 жыл бұрын
@@fab_It_garage I am having a 24 x 25 building very similar to this one built. Have the foundation almost ready and waiting on the slab to be poured . My building starts off level with the driveway,but the end is about 4 feet lower so it has to be built up with cinder blocks and filled with rock.. I had thought about going wider than the building but the contractor told me to make it the same size so the siding could hang over the pad and I would not have a water problem just like you said. The cement work is going to be two times the cost of the building because of the slope. I like the idea of rocks around the building for the rain run off. I may try that.
