I definitely prefer you to talk as you metal detect! I learn things too. Never too old to learn from someone much younger than yourself. I left one message about what I found. I also found people like to toss their trash into our shrubbery. 😂 I’m waiting for them to toss something and OOPSIE perhaps lose a nice fat Diamond ring or something. 😂👍🏻 It happens.

i'm impressed by this Xterra, out of the box the unit looks solid and not a cheapo detector for its price. at first I thought that an Xterra cost around the same price as the NOX but to my surprise a less than 300$ machine that can compete to its big brothers like the NOX is more than impressive.Yes single frequency, but 4 different frequency that is similar to a Multi, you have 4 different type of detector for under 300$ price! now if anybody isn't impress with that maybe they haven't tried those older generation single frequency machine that sell about the same price as the Xterra. i've been testing the unit in my test garden and it is deep! separates well, jumpy on the VDI but the tones are solid, if there is non ferrous on the ground it will blip or chirp just by playing the reactivity from 1-3...whoever is new to the hobby and would like to try Minelab machine the Xterra will not DISAPPOINT.

@@rudjard I got one and it is awesome. And I'm right here in Central Florida, so a lot of detectors I've had don't work as well down here as they do back in Tennessee, but this one was promising out the gate in my front yard. It hasnt let me down in any setting

Hi Austin, 3am here in south Australia. Just happened to wake up briefly & thought I'd check my phone. Seen youtube notification so decided to watch it. Yes I'd prefer to watch videos with commentary by author's. I've seen some with music played throughout & others minimal talking & find them boring. Keep up good work. Regards Lindsay.

I love your “stream of consciousness “ narration of the metal detecting oeuvre! Fascinating enough to SUB!

Great video. Here in Australia we are better off with coins I think. We have modern $1 and $2 coins. Some people find hundreds of dollars over a few months. And our predecimals (prior to 1966) are valuable with high silver content. Then there's the big pennies and half pennies. Either way, I love digging coins.

Where’s the live viewing? Well anyways I can’t remember if I told you this or not. I was cutting back the flower beds out front by the pedestrian sidewalk and decided to use my pinpointer to see if anyone dropped me anything juicy. 😂 I found scrap like bolts and parts of nails AND I scored on a Susan B Anthony coin and a dime! Love living in a neighborhood full of people walking the sidewalk. ❤❤❤

does that eterra use a vanquish coil? - it looks same as my 440 or a v12 even, btw live commentary is good
@TreasureOutdoors9 ай бұрын
Similar but not the same unfortunately. X-Terra coils are V8x, v10x, v12x while the Vanquish are just "V8, V10, V12".. different connectors too. :(

be careful with the flicking of the can slaw(?) and tossing that knife deal at your crotch. I'm scared for you. I'll be getting started after Christmas. I just need to choose between the Simplex and the Vanquish 450. I'm leaning towards the 450 because it seems like it would be better at relic hunting, which is most of what I'll be doing. I appreciate your videos, I've been binge watching in preparation for my own hunts. edit: that knife deal is called a hand digger

yes some days I really need to slow down. I think a lot comes down to preference keep doing a little research on the detectors and I think you'll know which one to get. Both good detectors & have their pros and cons, hard to go wrong with either. 👍

You seem to be getting stable ID's w/the Pro. Most videos, the ID jumps like bananas. I am going to buy the X-Terra Pro, you convinced me. BTW, talking breaks monotony and lets viewers get to know you. Great vid

It’s interesting that you asked about the commentary on the videos. I was actually telling my daughter about your channel yesterday while detecting and was telling her one of the reasons I enjoy it is because of the commentary. And I had her watching this one with me this morning. She asked if you are from Canada?

Love your videos, I’m still trying to learn about the settings on my Xterra pro. One day I kick butt, even found a gold ring, next time out, a few modern coins. I go through the setup process and it just gets frustrating to the point I give up. Can you please show your settings when you find something and why? I’m watching one episode where you’re trying the All Metal vs DP modes

I like your videos, so many others seem fake. Thinking of getting a metal detector, I'm an old lady, but I'd like to try at least my back yard. We have found a lot of railroad spikes and horseshoes just planting stuff. We also live near the Columbia River, what detector would you recommend for water with a sandy beach?

Hey Treasure Outdoors.I just bought one of these.It arrived yesterday and I assembled it.I went to turn it on and it powers off after 4-5 seconds.I then charged it overnight bit it still does the same.Is there a reason that you cam think of why this is happening?Is there anything I can do or should I just exchange it?Very frustrating..I'm ready to hit the fields and parks.Thanks.
@TreasureOutdoors4 ай бұрын
Hey! I can suggest try making sure the coil is connected all the way into the control box. If that doesn't work you may have a defective unit, should be all ready to go when you take it out of the box. Hope everything thing works out for you, update me when you get a chance.
@squierjason87264 ай бұрын
@TreasureOutdoors you were absolutely correct.I read your reply and checked where the coil wire connects to the control box and I didn't have it pushed in all the way.The silver part that you twist to tighten once it's plugged in would only screw or tighten halfway before.Now it pretty much tightens all the way. I turned it on after doing that and BAM!...All systems are a go.lol.Everything is working.Thank you so much.I must have been in a hurry out of excitement putting it together.??You saved me waiting probably a week or more to receive another in the mail.Now I'm ready to go...just have to learn how to use it.🤣Thanks again.
