Metal detecting in north dakota - Thanks to Jared for inviting me to his family's property that includes thousands of acres and 20 turn of the century abandoned properties! The "Box full of Guns and Gold" that was suppose to be dug up the following day was not done, because the exact location is not known, but it's narrowed down to a 10 acre area. Maybe next time we go metal detecting!

There was a series of Old Home's near my home in about 67 to 70 . It was all Bush . My friends and played their . We found these 3 cars from the 20s & 30s that were completely Overgrown & Vines in . I think we went Home and got some clippers . We got in those old stinky cars . People Worry about Mold ! The Mold We Breathed in those Cars . Wow I bet it was Beginnings of Mushrooms . Even the Wasps didn't set up Home . We did a burnt out ( as big as a Mansion ) ( huge farmhouse ) Went the first time at night . 1973 74 . About 8 of us Mugwumps . Went back maybe 4 or 5 later . in the Day . Some guy came after us . 5 story Home . We hid in these Charcoal Eves of the Place for an hr before this guy left . That Property has Four Mansions on it now . It was fun . As you get older you learn to create your Happy Trails . Tks again guys . This was Awesome . Stay Safe .

@@Klesh its very common for these rifles to be used for hunting. They were first made in 1891. However the bullet they use is still made today. I would be curious what the markings on the casing were. The Mosin was often captured by occupying forces, such as the US

I have been in there. I had wore the ground a good deal crawling out of the hole and dragging out so many things. So I fixed that as good as I could from the outside by scattering dust on the place, which covered up the smoothness and the sawdust. Then I fixed the piece of log back into its place, and put two rocks under it and one against it to hold it there, for it was bent up at that place and didn’t quite touch ground. If you stood four or five foot away and didn’t know it was sawed, you wouldn’t never notice it; and besides, this was the back of the cabin, and it warn’t likely anybody would go fooling around there.
