Great reaction, I love this song. The drummer in the audio of this compilation is Anthony Barone from the Western Kami Band. In different parts of the video I think we see Hideki, but the audio is definitely Anthony. Su and Moa are still there, just the Avenger is different, we see a couple of them (Riho and Kano) in different sections.

Dare I say ARKADIA is a prime example of modern speed metal. Yes a lot of Dragonforce vibe in this, epic and grand, with dragons, castles, knights and stuffs. Truly a victory song ^^

Watching everything that goes into their live shows, and the professionalism of everyone involved, it is, like you said, breathtaking. Even the West Kami Band that was featured in this video are top notch.

As many already pointed out, the drummer here is Anthony Barone from Shadow of Intent, he has his own YT channel. He's part of the Western Kami Band and played in their US and EU tour, before the abrupted end due to the Covid 19, so he's the drummer also in their Forum show in LA. His solo before Kagerou in their live performance is pretty cool actually! EDIT: BTW this is not the end of the show, which was a two nights event with complementary sets, one for the "bright side", first night with the original Japanese Kami Band , the other for the "dark side", the second night with the Western Kami Band, BUT in both nights, the final songs were played by both bands together, with SU and MOA on stage with the three avengers, that's a lot of people 😅! Just think of having two drums, two bass and four guitars all playing at the same time 🤩😎😏

Good reaction. Su and Moa are ever present, as this was a compilation video I think we saw two of the three Avengers (Kano and Riho). 'Arkadia' is the third song of the "Trilogy of Lights", the first being 'Starlight' which you have already seen. These are three songs representing the stages of mourning we go through after losing somebody close: the initial grief and anger (Starlight); acceptance and coming to terms (Shine) and finally looking to the future and a brighter tomorrow (Arkadia). So 'Shine' is the one you are missing, for me the best song from the third album. There is another well made compilation video for that on the same channel this video came from.

Su and Moa are there but the other is one of the Avengers ( three dancers who take it in turns to take Yuis place after she left in 2018.

This song is about overcoming your obstacles. As what the others said, this is the last song from the Trilogy of Lights. The first two songs are Starlight and Shine. This is a compilation video. The girls who was seen in these video were Su and Moa (the original members of BABYMETAL), and two fron the three Avengers. Those who were here are Riho Sayashi and Kano Fujihira. The other one is Momoko Okazaki (she wasn't in the video but she is the most present/active nowadays). The audio used here is fron their Legend Metal Galaxy Day 2 performance with the West Kami Band playing. The lineup are Chris Kelly (guitar), CJ Masciantonio (guitar), Clint Tustin (5 string bass), and Anthony Barone (drums). They were formed in 2019 to play for BABYMETAL in their western tours. If you want to hear their solos, listen to BABYMETAL - Kagerou. If you want a song of them with consistent double bass drums, check out BABYMETAL - Amore. Just like Rondo of Nightmare, it is a Su's solo. There are also beautiful riffs and bass line here. If you want an epic/unexpected breakdown, I suggest you BABYMETAL - Iine! Nice & welcome back & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。This is a compilation from 4 shows (1 in USA + 3 in Japan). Avengers (= support dancers) in this video are Kano and mostly Riho. And the audio in this video is from Makuhari 2020, so the instrumental players were West (American) Kamis. This powerful drummer (not Hideki AOYAMA of East) has not been identified officially, but, of course, fans figured out who he was. Anthony BARONE is one of my favorite drummers now. Everything about this song and "Trilogy of Lights" was kindly explained by Grington300 300 below. BABYMETAL's 10 concerts are ongoing at Budokan (武道館) to commemorate their 10th anniversary taking strict countermeasures against the infection. They held 1st show on Jan.19 and 2nd on Jan.20. Your confusion surrounding the girls is because this video featured two different Avengers as it was a combination of at least two different shows. The two girls you saw were Kano and Riho, both of which have since gone on to do their own thing so really the only remaining Avenger now is Momoko.

This is from 2020. Yui metal left the band in late 2018. They didn't replace her. Instead have a rotating dancer that comes in to provide symmetry. They don't sing at all, just dance. When Yui was missing shows in 2017 it would just be Moa and it looked rather wierd on songs where the interact only having the one and on songs where they sing back and forth to only have Moa and no response was very strange.

Yes the girls are different because the Avengers switch out so big stage with 2 platforms was Riho and the smaller stage was Kano. Can't remember if I saw Momoko in there though 😂 Arkadia in terms of speed is the Road of Resistance of the Metal Galaxy album 🤘🦊🖤

Hey I'm very happy to see you back on Babymetal, with a song as good as Arkadia is. You had some doubts on the girls, well two are the same just on their 20 years now. Su is still the singer, Moa is still one of the dancers (the pigtail girl that was on screen when you stopped). Sadly Yui had to leave due to health reasons that didn't let her continue dancing. So for her spot they signed three girls that shift between shows now. As you were watching a compilation video of the performance in different concerts, the third girl is changing between them. Maybe that is what did bring confussion. And yes as someone has said already, Arkadia is the third of a set of three songs that has been called Trilogy of Lights. It is composed by three songs, Starlight-Shine-Arkadia, and is meant to be an emotional journey through the struggles Babymetal had to fight in 2018 (Yuimetal departure due to health reasons, the death of their guitar player on an accident, Su and Moa's decision to stop their Babymetal career or continue with this...). Arkadia tries to express the will of going ahead and continue doing metal, while Starlight and Shine deal with the emotional pain and dealing with it taking decisions. What I said, glad to have you back on the foxhole, and Aoyama the best.

"Pretty strong Dragonforce vibes" seems to describe all of Power/Speed metal for a lot of people these days. It kinda became like "every Thrash Metal song reminds me of Metallica/Slayer/Megadeth/Anthrax". You're probably confused about the members because you didn't do any stuff after 2014 with the members in it, except for Syncopation, which was a compilation that included all kinds of shows and the BxMxC MV. You have to keep in mind they were 16 and 14 in 2014 and this Arkadia video is footage from 2019 and 2020, when they are grown up (between 20 and 23). But, Yui left in 2018, so you're right that the third member is different. The third girl on stage is an "Avenger", the three rotating support dancers I'm too lazy to pick out now because somebody else probably did it already. Arkadia is a kind of utopia where everything lives together in harmony. It's originally a region of Greece that was seen as an unspoiled wilderness in renaissance times. Last point, the drummer in the audio isn't Hideki Aoyama who was the drummer in all the other live stuff you watched (don't know where the audio from the Syncopation compilation was from, so I'm generalizing). It's Anthony Barone from the Western Kami Band, he's the ex-drummer of Shadow of Intent, amongst other bands. Because of the length of the US/EU Tour 2019/2020 they brought on another Kami Band from the US, probably because the Japanese musicians had other commitments in the timespan of that tour.

I very much look forward to your BM reaction videos. I love this band and the message a lot of their songs portray. This song is part of a Trio of Songs called “The Trio of Light” consisting of Starlight, Shine and Arkadia. Some of the most powerful songs on the latest album. They are sort of seen as a tribute to their guitarist who unfortunately had a fall in at the end 2017 and succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the beginning of 2018, and their former 3rd member Yui Mizuno who left the band officially in 2018 after having “health issues” (we don’t really know the whole story as the group and label is very private about their personal lives). I think Anthony Barone plays drums for the Kami-West band, he’s a beast.

Everything is on a track and there is no room for error. The early concerts weren't adjusted as much but it is more noticeable if you see them in close. They are great in a show and a lot of fun. Perfume and One OK Rock are other groups they are partnered with. So many great musicians have played in the group it is crazy and I hope they can keep beilding thier base.

Kano was only 14/15 when she was an Avenger for BABYMETAL and easily kept up with Su and Moa. She is the best Dancer ever to come out of Sakura Gakuin, no one comes close.

I know the you know about the vocalists and musicians already, but it's also interesting that their main choreographer did the choreography for the announcement that Japan would be hosting the next Olympics. i like this song and the trilogy of lights but my fav one from this album is From Dusk Till Dawn, if you want to check it out, watch the official MV but you won't see the girls in there but you will get the clean sound and spirit of the song, or watch some english lyrics sub of the song but with no official MV because lyricis are in english thou but you might not notice that at the beggining lol, on the other hand you can watch a live version with the girls and the coreo around KZfaq but the sound isn't so clean like the studio version. Anyway glad you comeback with Babymetal, you got a lot of more good songs left, you can finish the trilogy of light watching Shine, or go for some of their old classics one like "Ijime Dame Zettai" live at Sonisphere (this one is official in their channel but is edited a little bit because there was some "hidden" mess around that performance but is an important part of Babymetal's history) or "Road of Resistence" live in Japan (also official) wich is a power metal song colab with Dragonforce and it's a BM anthem since that day, you might have some coypright blocked so you have to make some tricks to avoid that, you know what to do ;) Keep rockin man \m/

I think you haven't heard ijime, dame, zettai by Babymetal .. Both live and music video are great.

I like the rest of the trilogy better, tbh. But as a cap to the trilogy and that journey, it fits. It satisfies more in that context. I never just get a hankering to listen to Arkadia like I do with Starlight and Shine, tho.

I always found it interesting that in this song, Su and Moa have the mikes but the Avenger there doesn't. As long as the Avenger there doesn't mind and has no resentment, I guess that's cool with me.
