I always feel sorry for Bladewolf, particularly at the beginning. His reasoning for fighting isn't entirely his own even though he was built for war, but more that there is always a gun pointed at his head threatening to wipe his memory. When Raiden holds him up to finish him off, he begs him to stop. That part always gets me. He might just be faking it as a last ditch tactical maneuver to elicit sympathy so he could gain the upper hand, but the rest of his behavior suggests otherwise. Color me a softy for a machine that values its own life. Something rather contrary to what we'd expect machines capable of. It only makes me feel we should consider it more. I mean, we don't want them driving chainsaws into our hearts or anything like that but seeing how he was being forced, I'd let it go as Raiden did.

wtf, this is so epic... damn are games allowed to be this epic?

A little joke I have to myself is the line "I will survive somehow" being a reference to how you could slice Blade Wolf into wire during his boss fight, and somehow he comes back in the next chapter good as new.

I'd say this is the most underrated ost out of all the amazing soundtracks in this game

Raiden: can take a chainsaw to the chest. Can't survive a fall. Edit: just for clarification, I ment a fall in one mission in the game, in which you can die by falling of a building. I am completely aware of his insane durability, being able to survive a great fall during a cutscene. I just made this comment as a joke in a misson you can die in by falling off a building.

In a way, LQ84I and Raiden are really similar to each other, they were made into this world to fight with no other choice.

That heart to heart between Raiden and Bladewolf after Raiden kills Sam is super fucking dope, and only strengthened by the reveal that Sam was ready for Raiden to kill him, and was actually becoming unsure with himself. These 3 characters make the game so much better, and Sam was definitely the final boss, no matter what you say.

It's amazing how well they managed to pace the boss battles to the song. And also, how every boss song actually has lyrics that fit the boss theme perfectly ( A Stranger i Remain for Mistral, I'm My Own Master Now and The Hot Wind Blowing being my favorites). Revengeance owes a lot of it's succes to it's amazing soundtrack i think.

Dude, I dunno why by this song always gets me a little emotional. Maybe I can relate to feeling like I was bound to follow some ideal or person I don't agree with; that I think is foolish. But the first "TIME TO LEAVE THEM ALL BEHIND" gets me. Got the fucking head tingles and all, get a little teary eyed to boot. It's not just living life on your own terms, it's also leaving behind that which weighs you down. "BREAKING OUT OF MY PAIN" It's turning all that pain and rage into something good, no longer content to suffer in silence. "NOTHING VENTURED, NOTHING GAINED" It's realizing that to become what you want to be, you have to make sacrifices. "I'M MY OWN MASTER NOW" This is it, the final emphatic remark that no matter what happens, it happens on your terms. I have very recently broken apart from a group of friends who I used to hang out with for years. We were inseparable. I owe them many beautiful moments and memories. But the thing is, they were toxic and they often made me feel bad about myself. First I realised what a trash they were. Then I realised that I'm trash as well. Armstrong was right. Although Blade Wolf fought for him contradicting what Armstrong said, he eventually fought for his own freedom without being a puppet Just like Armstrong said: a country where every man can fight their own wars without following what their leaders told them.

The satisfaction of finally beating this boss after an hour of trying to master the parry move is heightened by the absolute bad-assery of this song, amazing job composers!

What I like about Wolf's arc especially is even though it may be obvious at first that his story is one of becoming his own master, he's treated so unfairly for almost every choice he makes on his own that even if you see it coming you can root for him. Perfect example is at the end when he makes the choice to rewrite his parameters and help Raiden. He immediately gets kicked for it, and if Raiden loses, Armstrong will certainly kill Wolf. That's why I was so happy for him at the end when he's finally free in a place he belongs. I think he's a great character.

"Leave them all behind"- he's doing things his way, not the way Solidus/the Patriots/whoever expected him to. Just thought it was cool. A lot of songs seem to have similar double meanings, or maybe I'm just reaching because I'm desperate for just a little bit *more* from this game.
