That's what most of the song seems like to me, but "I'm still in a dream" doesn't seem to fit with that to me. The boss would've woken up from her "dream" at the very beginning of the game when she received her final mission. (Fake defect, help Snake in his mission and ultimately die). Snake's the one who hasn't woken up yet.

@@tinytrtle5681 'im still in a dream' is just her will, isn't it? she's still in a dream in the sense that her legacy and her 'will' has become repeatedly misinterpreted by all the antagonists of the series, and due to that, is nothing more than a dream, never to be truly reaped into fruition other than through solid snake. its only realized by big boss at his very death in the end of guns of the patriots on how they were nothing more than a bunch of old fools that were so focused on trying to change the world, rather than keep it the way it was, just how she intended it to

The first time I ever played it was on 3DS. Excellent features in that one- I mostly played with my handheld hooked up to my 50w guitar amp with a SLIGHT bit of reverb to mimic the echo of "outside." I just used to sit and play this in the garage, amp cranked🎉🎉 🎉🎉

Nah man. I love metal gear solid as much as I love those other franchises you just mentioned. Here’s the difference, ff7R and re4 were done internally at Square and Capcom respectively. This game is being done by some nobody studio. I don’t have faith for this remake unfortunately 😢

I don't know how I did it, but one day in the wee hours of the morning in the summer of '06 I was on the final fight with The Boss in the Subsistence version of the game, and I managed to defeat her just as the song ended: perfectly syncing with the crescendo. I've never managed to replicate it before or since, but it was incredible.

I woke up 2 hours before I needed to just so I could play this game (that I rented) before catching the city bus to school in high school. It's the best in the series in my opinion and truly ties the story together conceptually. Thank you to Kojima and the rest for what will be one of the greatest game series in all of videogame history.

This game got me trough hard times i was facing 10 years prison time and I would play this game and escape all the stress and keep my head up .. and thank god I beat the case with a good Lawer. If it wasn’t for this game I would have stressed the whole time it really calmed me down
