Miley works her ass off. There are videos of her belting out tunes while running on the treadmill. She didn't get here by accident. Her work ethic is crazy! Great reaction!

Yes!! Midnight Sky was an amazing lead single :) hopefully Plastic Hearts doesn’t get snubbed at the Grammys 🤞🏽 quality album, definitely one of her best pieces of work

that's been a fav of mine lately! i also like her song 'slide away' - it has a really weird part where her voice is looped and heavily effected, kinda like a drone. very cool. that song was made before her voice was effected by edema, and consequently got surgery.

@@CoreySladeMusic yeah it's kind of an anomaly on today's charts (i like modern pop music, tho) . it's kind of underproduced 80s synthwave pop meets rock. the mashup with stevie nick's 'edge of seventeen' is also very cool! enjoy the channel!

Fyi, the guitarist, Andrew Watt was the same one who did the solo on nothing else matters, and was one of the main producers on her last record, plastic hearts

He also co-wrote most of the songs and played a variety of instruments on them. He's the guy Miley turned to when she decided to make Plastic Hearts a more-rock-less-pop album. (It worked.)

I stumbled across her singing rock covers last night and I was totally blown away by her fantastic rock voice she needs to ditch the pop rubbish and become a rocker she really has it and I'm still in shock from listening to nothing else matters with Metallica, I cannot believe that at 44 I'm now a Miley Cyrus fan

I am in no doubt that Miley Cyrus is a world class rock singer, and belongs in the same category of singers as Janis Joplin, Bonnie Tyler, Stevie Nicks, Ann Wilson of Heart. If you give her the right material, she can absolutely do justice to any of the best rock songs of all time, both in her performance and the talent of her singing.

A lot of people are surprised by her rock covers, but you have to keep in mind that her while image up until recently has been manufactured by Disney. And yes it's taken her some time even since Disney to come into her own but I can imagine that being under Disney's thumb probably causes a lot of unstable self image. I'm really excited about who she is now and who she's becoming as she strikes out on her own.

Her talent comes through when she took control over her career she is doing what she loves and it shows with her iconic talent!! Wish artist had more control over their own material that’s when you get those songs paintings movies etc etc that stand the test of time

Kaine, your speaking voice is fab! I’m trying to get my hubby’s band to cover Miley’s version. 😂 This song is the shit, and Miley has become an absolute beast. Her artistic performance choices are sooo calculated & on point. And BTW, the band f’n killed here, too. She’s a connoisseur / student of music - You can tell by the songs she chooses to cover. Nails them all. I never thought I’d say this, but I think Miley is kinda becoming my favorite female vocalist!!

I always felt like Miley was trying to peg her voice into a space that didn’t quite fit, but every once in a while she would sing something that fit her better and you could see that her strength was in the lower registers. I’m glad to see her embracing what makes her unique!

Yeah, I’ve been a potential fan for a few years, since I heard her covering Jolene in the Backyard Sessions. I’ve only been waiting for her to really dive into rock sounds before properly stanning. Seems she’s about to get there. Really glad to hear her experiment with rock sounds and vibes. Her voice is incredible.

Just rounding up. I knew of her because of tabloid clips. I'm too old for her bubble-gum pop or kids show personality, so I hadn't given her much attention. It wasn't until I ran across her Chris Cornell tribute and watched her own a room full of haters that I began to appreciate her talent.
