Great reaction, Disturbed is a metal group and have been around since 1994, most of their songs are heavy but they have some lighter music, Hold on to memories, the Light, their newest release Don't tell me is incredible, check those out.

Yes, keep in mind that he was really sick when he performed and I heard he was quite disappointed in his performance. Being the perfectionist that he is I can understand a little why he felt that way. However, I thought the performance was amazing and that his performance was exceptional! Bravo! It touched me deeply!

They're a heavy metal rock band. People who have listened to their music for years say this isn't typical of their music but yet they did an awesome job with this. I then listened to Down With the Sickness. Wow! If you want to hear David's vocal range in extreme, listen to it.

Im not a metal fan but I love this one and I love David Draimans voice, my other Disturbed songs i love are Hold On To Memories and Reason To Fight. Tom Ball did a different version of Sound of Silence, also did Creep on AGT. You might like Calum Scott especially singjng You Are The Reason. Ive Subbed and hoping for a Home Free reaction 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

OMG, the tissues I've 🤧 gone through since I discovered David Draiman and Disturbed performing their rendition of "The Sound of Silence" on April 29, 2024. That day I have to believe my spirit 🙏 guides (out of the blue) first led me to a cover video by Dan Vasc singing "Amazing Grace" 👏 and then to the cover video of Disturbed and David Draiman singing this most POWERFUL, EMOTIONAL 😂rendition of Simon and Garfunkels "The Sound of Silence". I'm 75 and was 15 when they released one of the most popular classic songs of our time during the 60's. It is amazing how relevant it is today, actually I feel it is even more relevant than ever in so many different ways. I've spent days since listening and seeing the many channels and each of their reactions and have 😢 almost every time. It's funny that more males have gotten teary-eyed than females, just an observation. Diane Davis

You should check out A Reason to Fight. He gives a speech that is about those he and others have lost, including Chester, to suicide, depression, and/or addiction. It is awesome.

Seems the song is about the disconnect in human society caused by technological advancements such as televisions and iphones (neon gods). We don't talk to each other anymore, we listen and talk to computers, and the chatter, the music, is lost. It IS very sad. Thanks for sharing your view and for the chatter!

This song originally was a lot darker than the version the authors (Simon and Garfunkel) put out later. The original was not accepted as well by the public so they made it a bit more 'positive' sounding. Simon said that he was happy with Disturb's version, because this is what the lyrics were supposed to be about. This is a song of protest if you may call it that.. not a political protest, but a protest about the lack of humanity.

Check out Hold On To Memories…the official LIVE video. There are pictures of David and Chester. At his concert this summer he talked about getting tired of losing friends to addiction and depression. He misses his friends Chester, Chris among others. I am a proud 56 year old mom that had a blast at my first Disturbed concert. Great reaction and insight to this cover. Keep up the great work! New subscriber!

My all time favorite cover! I was around for the original Simon and Garfunkel one. I love their metal hard rock and ballads both. I recommend your next reaction be to their music video Don’t Tell Me. Disturbed’s David Draiman sings a duet with Best female Rock vocalist, Ann Wilson, the lead singer of Heart. You’ll get goosebumps on top of goosebumps. It about the divorces experienced by 3 members of Disturbed.

Thanks for the reaction. One of their most popular songs is "Down with the Sickness". It's more of their own style, much heavier. But it's amazing to compare how it's the same singer on both songs. David has a truly amazing and versatile voice. If you listen Down with the Sickness, don't go for the official video, as it's cut version with some controversial parts removed. Go for some lyric video for example, or some live. Thanks!
