⚡ / 🔥 😱 🔥 And… that's why we made Su-metal our queen at 16 years old. : ) Her voice is even better now that she's 23. Su sang three solo songs that night. She did 'No Rain, No Rainbow', followed by 'Akatsuki' earlier in the set. I already liked BABYMETAL, but those solo songs made me a die hard fan. Dancing on a small platform raised ten feet in the air demonstrates courage. Following up an introduction where each Kami Band member shows off their skills with a solo, shows total fearlessness. : )

Great reaction, I knew you'd love this one. The intro is the 'Mischiefs of the Metal Gods' - Leda Cygnus (blue guitar), Takayoshi Ohmura (gold guitar), BOH (6 string bass) and Hideki Aoyama (drums) showing just a bit of what they can do as they perform the ritual summoning Su-metal up from the depths (from be;low stage anyway). 'Rondo of Nightmare' is possibly their darkest song lyrically. Su is caught in a recurring nightmare being chased through the dark by something she can't see. Finally she hides in a fountain, but whatever is chasing her is still coming closer and, accepting there is no way out and no escape, she asks whatever it is that if she is to die won't it at least show itself to her first. Su was only 16 when they played the Budokan in March 2014. It is a martial arts arena built for the 1964 Olympics but now also a hugely prestigious venue for music concerts ... it is the place Japanese artists aspire to play and very few get there. BABYMETAL are the youngest average age female band to ever headline the Budokan - Su was 16, Yui and Moa were 14 ... they sold it out 2 nights running as they released their first album. At the start of 2020 they played 10 dates at the Budokan as part of their 10th anniversary celebration.

Everything important already said, even about the rising platform without any safety gear. But there are two more aspects about that, the mind plays with your mind when you're elevated above the ground AND Yui fell of the stage (not this elevated one) the night before so I can imagine that Su had that in her mind too, performing fearlessly or at least it seems so. Great reaction👊🏽⚡️ 7 minutes short track.. I love the attitude Su brings to this performance. The lyrics are very dark. She is being hunted over and over by an unseen demonic force. Towards the end of the song based on Su’s body language, I feel sorry for the demon.

One thing i remember is their debut in Montreal at the Heavy MTL, people where shock, either in disgust or in excitement, they left none indifferent. From my point of view Metal in is form is a progressive style of music pushing limits. With their Kawai metal people where not ready for it. Now metal heads realize their skills and Baby Metal is now part of the community. They are unique, the Kami bands are all legends in their instruments, Su and now Moa got incredible voice and all of them have that stage presence that only so few band can say they have. Nice & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。Kamis' (=Gods') super plays were excellent enough as a main event in the show, but once the 16-year-old Queen (as of 2014) emerged from the underground, she colored everything differently. How many times we should go through waves in this song? Billows, ripples and rollers. In the recently published book "10 BABYMETAL LEGENDS" authored by Kobametal, producer of BABYMETAL, he writes BABYMETAL fundamentally uses only 3 colors for stage lighting ; Red, Blue and White. That has been their basic policy since the stage at Meguro Roku-Mei-Kan (目黒鹿鳴館) in 2012. They never mix the colors in order to make shows look more dramatic. Lighting in BM shows should not be addition but subtraction. They think it is important to create certain area on stage instead of spots after scraping off something unnecessary. [page 32]

Great reaction, thanks! What do I think about this one? I don't know even how describe it. The kamis are totally awesome. They show their skills constantly but they are often eclipsed by the girls which is okay. But here they have the opportunity to shine a little more for a while. And what about SU-METAL? I consider myself totally biassed by her so I cannot be fully impartial... but, objectively: being just 16 when this was performed, standing by herself on a high tiny platform, probably being unable to see a thing because of the spotlight, singing this song for the second time (the first time was the previous day at the same venue) and still performing like THIS. She has to be very special to be called the Queen.

How good are they. Visually brilliant, musically outstanding and Su-Metal = amazing stage persona and voice. I wish they did more concerts with the red and black color schemes as the colors are so traditionally asian in culture and religion. Really adds to the atmosphere in my eyes. But hey another great reaction man. Praying that Babymetal are still going to be around. Apparently Amuse closed down the Sakura Gakuin idol school that the members of Babymetal are recruited from including the dancing Avengers. Not liking the mood of all of this. Anyway Cheers.

Not a 7 minutes track.....the band intro (mischief of gods) is just added before the Rondo of Nightmare song....they usually do this in their concerts to highlight the skills of the Kami band.....and for the girls to rest for a while....

Nice one, and yeah this is one hell of a performance. Rondo is one of their songs with the most contrast between vocals and instrumentals, but if you really want to take that to 11, check out a Black Babymetal song. Su has her solos like this one so Yui and Moa can take a break, and when Su needs a break, Yui and Moa perform as Black Babymetal. If you're willing to work around copyright by putting a logo over the video in post, I'd recommend either GJ! at Wembley or Sis Anger at Tokyo Dome from the Babymetal Reactor Resource; otherwise check out Onedari Daisakusen at Budokan Black Night.
