As someone who has been listening to BABYMETAL since 2015, I STILL can't get over just how good Su's vocals have gotten like my god i never thought her voice was bad to begin with but she had done nothing but improve

Su's vocals is so awesome in this more powerful, aggressive.... I love the Japanese Kabuki theater feel of the song, with Momoko doing that narration bit in the middle....I'm all smiles.... Spoilers about how they perform this song incoming: I just saw a video from someone in the audience and when they performed it, it was so good. You have the intro solos for the band and then the song. Su, then, told everyone to sit down and guess what the crowd did? They all sat down. Only Su can do this with a crowd. But, they sat down before Momo's part and it sounded like the track. Where the pause is before Tom Morello, Momo asked "Are you ready?" in a sumo-like stance, but she screamed it. A FULL. METAL. SCREAM. I am so proud of her.

At the venue, this song followed after the Kami's instrumental. Oh My Buddha! 😍 I got hyped like an idiot in the simplicity of this song and Momoko's solo speaking part with Kabuki style in the middle gives an amazing accent in the repetitiveness. The repetitive わっしょい "Wasshoi" is a call or yell used in Japanese Matsuri (festival). It is a kind of phrase to intensify people's excitement and especially to encourage the power of guys who are carrying a heavy Mikoshi that is similar to a float in the festival.

I have to admit that I wan’t sure the first time listening but having viewed the MV the joy and chaos was too infectious and now I have it on high rotation. I’m so happy that the fun is back. I loved the entire Other One album and appreciate its somber but hopeful feel but the utter joy of this song is brilliant to have back. This song slapped so fucking hard live, I kinda wasn't into it the first time I heard it, because I'm not into the "traditional oriental instrument" thing in general, but holy fuck the arena popped off. They fucking tore the house down with this and there were more bodies marking out than I could count, and it's crazy to me that the lamest part of a modern Babymetal song in 2023 was Tom Morello jamming like a dork. Like he gets a pass, but the girls and the dance moves just absolutely melting everyone's face with this one, and the dancing is top tier.
