In this song, RM is portraying many characters in the different scenario of relationships like that of man with his friends, a family man, a guy with a girlfriend, a son and a guy looking for a life-long partner. This song would show us that at the end of the day, what you look forward to in a relationship, whether with family, friends and a lover, is the hour of simple joy amidst the noise inside our head [like when we are feeling down due to self-doubt or insecurity, if not that feeling of emptiness]. Apparently, RM's character here must be the last persona who is waiting for his life-long partner who can be with him at any hour and make him feel alright amidst the noise in his head., a girlfriend and best friend rolled into one. This is going on my rainy day so I’m staying in bed reading a good book playlist. Once again we get multiverse vibes with the mv. Namjoon has mentioned multiverse concepts before: he’s mentioned Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and in In The Soop he was reading The Midnight Library - and we have the BU as a finished product. I honestly don’t think he’s talking about a love interest here. I think it’s about his creativity, that being creative is a Divine pain that offers an endless possibility of pathways and about how he became who he is. Fears of disappointing his folks when he opted out of going to university, opting out of becoming a family man (so far), perhaps disappointed a lover and being made to face himself and do the music he wanted instead of the music that was expected from him. I’m happy he made that choice.

I love this song from day 1! Artistic mvideo. He doesn't want to follow what society expects from him to be or do. The last girl represents his inner true voice and helps him getting out of all those normal life expected sceneries. He just desires to live just the way he wants to. 😊

How inspiring is RM? He didn't need to but he pushed himself to break new grounds. If you didn't know he was the leader of the biggest K-pop group in the world, that he was one of the best rappers out there, could you tell? Lee Sung Jin, the MV director, said he and RM shared a lot of stories and came upon a story about a man that was stuck in a house with his PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE. Doors have always been very symbolic. The door with the three different colored circles could mean PAST, PRESENT and FUTURE . Triptych architecture in history has also had symbolisms for past, present and future or for harmony like life and death, man and woman, Yin and Yang, the moon and the sun with the middle piece being the connection, our enlightenment, a third eye, a doorway to inner happiness. Also the different colors and lighting keep changing and I believe when they finally go through the door the three colors on the door are red, green and blue and I know RM has mentioned RGB before. He's also mentioned multiverses and reading The Midnight Library (many similarities to this MV). The girl throughout and at the end is "him", it's his anima/animus which he manifests to guide him. It was lost and now that he has found it again or it has come back to him he is able to find peace and live his own life without regret. Right Place, Wrong Person. It's conceptional. The place isn't wrong but he (we) might feel wrong. The conceptual understanding is that we need to find ourselves, our own happiness to feel right wherever we are. Regarding RM's eye, on the first day of filming the MV he hit his head on a camera and needed stiches. "You’re always a little nervous when you’re working with these giant global superstars. Are they going to want to rehearse? Are they going to take notes? RM was game for everything. He was there for long hours. First take of the very first scene, he bent down and his head hit the camera and it was a giant gash on his eye and immediately I thought, “Oh great, I’m going to be deported immediately because I’ve just scratched this national treasure.” To his credit, he went to the hospital, got stitched up, came back and he was ready to go. He was so versatile and open to direction and I think he was also pushing me. If you know RMs work every mix tape and album is different from the last. He is continuously pushing boundaries. In way thats what I think is also happening in the mv. RM wanders around confused and unhappy through all these potential lives and expectations never being comfortable. We see this has been so since he was small. At some point he becomes more comfortable in each scenario but still doesnt stay, he moves on finds himself and accompanies the woman( given his interest in Jungian philosophy it could be significant ) out of the maze of societies expectations to find non of it's real. In the light he sees its all fake sets designed and created by someone else. There are several clues for ARMY buried within the MV. Pain Devine. During a conversation piece with Pharrell Williams they discussed judging lyrics by how painful they are to produce ...pain divine, devine inspiration?

I kinda got the idea he was stuck in his past, trying to dodge bad memories, and then he meets the girl, I think she is somehow there to help him remember the good times. And when he finally accepts the bad memories, the good memories come, and then she walks him to the door, which I think represents the future. and the endless rooms are the maze of life. She could also represent Hope, "Spring Day" is hope for the future. "Waiting for that spring day to come", so when he falls asleep in her eyes, I think that's what it means. Hope for the future, dreams for the future. Then he takes a deep breath and walks through with her. Also "Sea" was mentioned, and I think maybe when he says Come Back To Me, it means ARMY. So it could mean he did all the things he needs to do, and he will come back to ARMY and it will be a bright future. I could be totally wrong. I've already been through 4 different theories. RM is such a poet and genius songwriter. His songs are so deep, and you never know what he will create next. 💜

A woman in the MV and the parent taking care of the baby in the cradle symbolizes ARMY,.And in the beginning, the party scene and the girl brushing her teeth with her mother mean the normal routine before go to Military service. . In the middle, a woman who gets angry and looks for it expresses ARMY who is angry and sad when bts goes to the army, and a parent who looks at baby RM from the cradle means ARMY who raised them in love~ In the second half, smiling RM talks with a woman and enjoys a party with his colleagues after being discharged from the military, and the scene where he opens the door with a woman symbolizing a fan means that he will smile again with the fan because the door that was closed due to military service symbolizes suspension. And I think the MV set expresses ARMY and BTS getting along together on the concert stage! LOL This is the right way to interpret it. It's stupid to watch the MV and simply say, "Did RM get married and give birth to a baby? Why are you fighting with a woman?"haha~~
