I'm about halfway through and loving it. I hope you do reload as well - it's all the same recording sessions, and I've always thought that those two could have been condensed into one 60-70 minutes album that would have been pretty epic. The filler songs diluted the impact of the more interesting ones.

28:33 That killed me lmao. Load & Reload were in need of serious fat trimming, because there's a great album in there if they'd have just condensed it into one package. By no means bad albums but definitely bloated as fuck. Curious to see what you think of Outlaw Torn. That's one of my favourites in their entire catalogue. And I really dig this format, man. A lot of channels feel over-produced and unrelatable but this feels like you're just hanging out with a mate. Looking forward to more.

Favourite songs: Until It Sleeps King Nothing Hero Of The Day Bleeding Me Ronnie Outlaw Torn Outlaw Torn and Bleeding Me i probably prefer the S&M versions, but still love the album cuts. Im certainly someone who can enjoy both sides of Metallica and appreciate the post Justice material. Well maybe not St Anger, but ya know 😅

And Justice For All is my favorite metallica album. Has been ever since i first heard it in the early 90s. All the early albums are their own masterpieces though.

I'm not far into my watching (28:39), but James never felt "sure" as a singer. Even until Master Of Puppets he was looking for a replacement, and it's only when John Bush refused to replace him in Metallica, in order to stay in Armored Saint, that James really took his "singing'" position as a long time function. Still, he did took quite vocals lessons between black album and Load. I don't agree that he wasn't sounding "sure" of his vocal deliveries, but I totally see what you mean by this. I don't feel it your way, but I see it. 36:16 in, Until It Sleeps : Man, you gotta give him props on this for his vocal delivery. Even if you see it as a pop construction (sure, it is like said : intro, verse, chorus, etc.), but the feeling on this one is really underrated IMO. Super well done. 39:01 Ok ! Now I'm baffled haha. Being a big old Amorphis (pre Am Universum era) and Sentenced fan : nope, I don't agree at all. Sentenced always been unique in their type of composition/riffing (I can't think of any of their song sounding like Until It Sleeps). Maybe the younger Amorphis, because I really didn't get into them after Am Universum. Anyway, I really don't see it.

Load is like the best "on wheels" music to me, like that semi fast but cool sounding and relatively predictable rhythm gives the best "afk vibe" on the road Not a cyclist but If I were would definitely rock it every day and wherever I may roam tbh :)

First time I heard Load, I instantly thought of Road Rash! Seriously, "Aint my Bitch" crashed into things, and I thought about motorbikes, biker metal. Load is vastly underrated. Is it 100mph metal? No, its not supposed to be. At its best, it is pure Tony Iommi- Bleeding Me, Outlaw Town have those deep heavy grooves. Listen to Black Sabbaths "I", to hear that comparison. Until it Sleeps is Danzig influenced Gothic Blues. Then elsewhere, its the classic hard rock that Hetfield heard before he disovered the NWOBHM. Zeppelin, Aerosmith , Nugent. I totally have always felt that Load/ReLoad should have been a single album. Take the best 6 tracks from both, and you have an Awesome heavy rock album. Brooding and groovy. 👍👍

It was a good reaction up until you played your guitar through almost all of Bleeding Me, and not paying attention to it, it is actually the best song on this album.
