My Georgian brother George gets it. Sometimes James Hettfield’s voice comes across like a chainsaw, but at other times can come across like Honey on an open wound. Beneficial to both mind and psyche!

Here are a few solid Metallica recommendations you two absolutely need to check out: Call Of Ktulu, Orion, Damage Inc, Welcome Home (Sanatarium), Trapped Under Ice, The Four Horsemen and Master of Puppets as well of course, That one is a must! These are all tracks from the Cliff Burton era of Metallica, Arguably the best era of the band. Cliff was a phenomenal bass player and he inspired me to pick up bass as well!

Been with METALLICA since the start & this song & album brought such criticism! Even lost fans cause they didn't play 100mph, but they are simply musicians who grow & push their own limits, they not gonna record the same album over & over, thats why they still here & still relevant & every other band of there generation is an afterthought or just gone, not taking anything away from those bands cause they're amazing at what they did & I'm so thankful for growing up in that era but after all the smoke has cleared, all these years later METALLICA stands ALONE! ~ lesson to be learned ~ be yourself, dare to be yourself & you can never go wrong & you can never lose 🤘

Too bad you weren't around for the backlash that occurred because of this song and the entire Black record. People said they went from metal to alternative. At yet at the same time people were praising the record and of course this song. It was really bizarre. This was also one of the two CD's I ever "bought". Justice For All and The Black album. Thanks to Columbia house they only cost me a penny which was cool because at age 13 I didn't really have any money.

I downloaded this song ages ago, it's one of my favourite Metallica songs and a bit unusual as it isn't one of their heavy metal numbers. It's a beautiful song and I love it. I think James Hetfield's voice is amazing for all the songs he sings. I think I said before in another comment that Metallica do a fantastic cover of Turn the Page ( I know you reacted to Bob Seger) but I love Metallica's version and it's well worth a listen. Do hope you react to more Metallica's songs, such as The Day That Never Comes and Harvester of Sorrow - that would be fab. I really enjoyed your reactions to this great song, guys, many thanks.

Maggot Brain by the incredible Funkadelics featuring the late , great Eddie Hazel on guitat. This song was produced by the legendary Parliments leader George Clinton. He and Eddie did some acid before they started recording. George told Eddie "Play the first half of this solo as if you had just found out that your mother had just died, then play the second half of the solo as if you just heard she' alive and doing fine !" Yeah, it's that intense and that good. I really hope you react to it but even if you don't, just listen to it privately. This is something every music lover needs in their hearts and minds. Thanx , bros.

This is a great track, and it gets more relevant the older you get... trust me on that. I hope you are both well and much love from the UK to you all over there in Georgia. Don't care what anyone says, this album was gold. I can remember the backlash at the time, and I understand it to some degree, but it has survived the passage of time better than most of their later albums after this, in my opinion.

Y'all better have Metallica up on your wall montage! 🙃😉 🤘👊 P.S. The song came about when the band was on tour, and James was on the phone with his then girlfriend. As he was talking, he was picking on his guitar, then boom! He liked it so much that he completed a song out of the riff, but planned on keeping it to himself. Lars (drummer) got ahold of it, and convinced James to add it to the album (The Black Album) they were recording at that time. It truly is a beautiful jam.

I will give you guys the same strong advice as my friends gave me 30 years ago! *Only listen to the first 4 albums of Metallica!* After the 4th album "And Justice for All" the songs become much more simple and not the real Metallica anymore. Metallica made some instrumental masterpieces that you should listen to. Listen to "Orion" and "Call of Ktulu". I can't wait to see your reaction! Rock on! First 4 albums Metallica: Kill'em All (listen last because pretty raw compared to other 3) Ride the Lightning Master of Puppets And Justice for All.. (you may also listen to cover album Garage Days and some cool old B- sides like song Breadfan) All other albums are only 20% as cool as the albums above!
