If someone does you a great wrong And you can't move past the transgression without accountability and you know there will never be any accountability and that's where the trap is. You get stuck in the self loathing of they never got what they should've gotten or you forgive yourself for all the anger, pain and suffering you've gone through. You don't wanna die regretful and alone because you couldn't move on from a great trauma. That's what this song is about. It's a cautionary tale

As a teen (41 now) I started listening to them for the guitar solos, then as I got a little bit older the words meant a lot to me too, still listening today. I remember the first time I played nothing else matters for this dude who was the complete opposite of metal, and he was like fine just play it, and he was even taken back by the powerful lyrics saying it wasn’t what he expected at all. ❤

For the last 3 years when I listen to the unforgiven it reminds me of Someone I am very close to, because he struggles and he is got a lot of bitter in him Myself I to have struggle but I try to please to much. . At times when I listen to it makes me a little sad because that song is talking about both him and I in some ways. Still love the song.

lemme recommend to you I want out from Helloween. it's a very good song for when you want to say screw it all. if you're into more... mystic vibes, Seventh son of a Seventh son from Iron Maiden. it's way weirder, but i personally like the kind of mystic storytelling in that song. if you want to cry to a beautiful story, Send me an angel from Scorpions. a beautiful piece almost opposite to Unforgiven about freedom, love and the struggles of men.

Blue Oyster Cult, Paul Simon, Chicago, ELO, Rush, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles. 80's The Cure, Peter Gabriel, Boston, ELO, Iron Maiden, Cyndi Lauper, Madonna, Prince, Bryan Adams, The Eagles (Don Henley Joe Walsh), Phil Collins, Genesis, Pat Benetar, The Pretenders, Judas Priest, Twisted Sister, Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson 90's Alice In Chains, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails, Pantera, White Zombie, Soundgarden, TOOL (ESPECIALLY EARLY 90'S ERA TOOL:OPIATE, UNDERTOW, AENIMA), Megadeth, Faith No More, Hole, Korn (Just the first self titled debut, skip the rest), Linkin Park, Days of the New (second RED album especially), Pearl Jam are kinda hit or miss for me but TEN is a badass album all the way through. Stone Temple Pilots, Rage Against The Machine. 90's are my go to. Be careful though. Some really deep dark stuff in there. Alice In Chains 'Dirt' is probably my all time favorite. 'Unplugged' is another. 90's grunge was born out of the yuppie phase out of the 80's and you had this whole new hippie deadhead scene emerging. Over in Seattle you had this leftover misfit crowd that didn't really fit either of those & they were like 'fuck this hippie shit! Let's bring back a youthful revolt punk style but make it radio friendly.". I actually remember watching the 'world premier' first time ever aired on TV of 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' & I knew in my gut & in my heart that music had changed, it would never be the same. And I embraced it 100%. I smoked weed, took acid, listened to all these new radical tunes and my mind took me to places I never thought imaginable. It was almost probably like what the hippies did in the 60s listening to Jimi Hendrix & Janis Joplin (who oddly enough, ALSO from Seattle). Sorry I went off on that rant there. I'm just sharpening up my writing skills, and I love to write about music & my experiences through music. And I hope these recommendations can help you & guide you & give you awesome thrills n chills through your musical journey🤘🎸🤘
